So the Lifetime Aaliyah biopic is facing even more backlash with castings of Missy Elliot and Timbaland. Aaliyah fans thought Zendaya looked 'too biracial' to play Aaliyah. Well it seems like Lifetime or should I say the producers ( Wendy Williams) has casted two biracial looking actors to play Missy Elliot and Timabland and fans are NOT happy about it. 

Both actors are Canadian. The actress who will playing Missy Elliot is named Chattrisse Dolaille, she is  newcomer and the actor who will be playing Timbaland is named Izaak Smith, who appeared on So You Think You can Dance: Canada.

But the castings continue to add fuel to the racism and colorism in Hollywood and with Wendy Williams being one the producers I'm not surprised by this.

It's official! Danity Kane have broken up following the domstic dispute between Dawn and Aubrey at the studio early this week. DK memebers Aubrey O Day and Shannon Bex have released an official statement in the group's Tumblr Page


"We know it must be devastating for our fans to have spent the last twelve months supporting our every move, and for that we cannot apologize enough.  We share your frustration and anger!  We spent a year living on each other’s couches, sacrificing any solo opportunity that came our way, finally finished our comeback album, and were days away from filming three music videos for you that would have played out as a short movie.  We lived on calls, traded endless e-mails, and sat in meeting after meeting to bring together an amazing team of producers, agents, directors, and styling teams with no manager in place.  We were at the finish line.  We wish, more than anything, that our time, our team’s time, and most importantly your time as fans, was not taken for granted and carelessly disregarded.  If this ending was in our control, please understand that we would have done everything in our power to move things forward.  You have become our family, and regardless of these unfortunate circumstances, we hope all of you treat one another as family, as we have built connections that cannot possibly be conveyed in words.  Our journey, and the love we have built together as fans and artists, is a truth that all of us will forever hold close to our hearts". 


Aubrey also speaks on the incident that happened between her and Dawn.

"During a recent group meeting, a business conversation took a turn for the worst when my group member punched me in the back of my head while I was speaking to another associate.  To be clear, she was not physically engaged or threatened prior to her attack on me.  This is the same information I provided to the police, and witnesses also corroborated this account of the incident.  I cannot condone or excuse any form of physical violence, particularly at the hands of someone I considered family.  Disagreements happen.  But a war of words and ideas should never end in physical aggression"




Danity Kane was about to plan a comeback with a new album. They recently released their new single "Lemonade" months ago.

Beyonce is top nominee this year with eight nominations including Video of The year for "Drunk In Love."

CELEB: Aubrey O Day Post Cryptic Tweet After Dawn Fight

Is this Love and Hip Hop: LA drama? 

TMZ reported alst night that Aubrey and Dawn ( who are both rumored to appear on Love and Hip Hop:LA) got into argument at a studio in LA. Shannon was also there trying to break it off. 

It is said that Dawn tried to swing at Aubrey.  US Weekly also reports that Aubrey O' Day filed a battery reports identified as the victim.


So far non of the members have commented on the incident, but Aubrey did post a cryptic tweet after the incident happened.

Another Aaliyah Biopic?

I find it funny that after ALL these years wanting an Aaliyah biopic and the rumors surrounding a biopic, Aaliyah is now getting not one but TWO biopics. We all know about Lifetime biopic which is set to premiere this fall. Wendy Williams will be producing it and actress Alexandra Shipp will be playing her. 

Well it seems like Aaliyah's family is doing their own separate biopic about her and this one will be in theaters sometime next year. B Simone ( picture) has been casted to play her.

“We’re in a position where we can do the feature film and we can do the music,” said a source close to production.

Singer B.Simone (pictured) has signed on to portray the “One in a Million” artist. Terrence Howard and Wood Harris were named as possible co-stars for the big-screen film, whose script will be written by author Zane. Most importantly, Aaliyah’s uncle and former manager, Barry Hankerson, is working on the project.

'Charmed' Stars To Reunite In New Reality Show

Charmed stars Shannon Doherty and Holly Marie Combs will reunite in a new reality TV show called Off The Map: With Shannon and Holly as they travel to across the county on a road trip. E Online reports they will both travel to unknown roads, meet locals and fans will get to vote on the activities they get to do there.

Alexandra Shipp To Play Aaliyah

Switched At Birth actress Alexandra Shipp has been picked to replace Zendaya in the Lifetime Aaliyah biopic. Weeks ago, Zendaya revealed in an interview during the BET awards red carpet that she dropped because she did feel the production was prepared.

It has also been announced that Wendy Williams will one of the executive producers for the biopic. 

The announced was made on Facebook today

“Wendy and Wendy Williams Productions are proud to announce that they are joining Debra Martin Chase as executive producers on the Aaliyah Lifetime movie! Production begins later this month with Alexandra Shipp playing Aaliyah.”

                          

Michael Jackson's Extended Family To Get A Reality Show

The extended family of the late Michael Jackson will be getting a reality show called "The Jackson Bubble' which is a six episode series which will debut in November on Reelz.

According to ABC news they say they were sheltered throughout there life and had to watch what they say.

The show will focus on the kids of the ex wife of Jermaine Jackson

 Michael's brothers had their own reality show on A&E shortly after his death. which was canceled shortly.

I don't normally like to blog about the Kardashian family because I think they are overrated, but this story is kind bizarre.

Last night, Rob Kardashian made a tweet about hanging out with his son on 4th July and folks were surprised (including myself) that even had a child.

But the he quickly deleted the tweet and tweeted a follow up saying that he was just joking and that this mother Kris Jenner e-mailed about him having a child

UPDATE: Zendaya Speaks On Dropping Aaliyah Biopic Role

Zendaya is now speaking out on her Aaliyah biopic departure. It was announced yesterday, that she dropped out the project because she felt like the project was 'rushed'. She spoke to MTV during the 2014 BET awards red carpet about why she left.

"I just felt the project wasn't 100 percent there. I feel production-wise everything just felt a little rushed. And I think because she's someone I admire and I love so much, it can't be done halfway, or not to the standards I think it should be done at, so I just decided not to do it. By all means, when the right project comes along, and it's done the right way I'll be the first person ready to play Aaliyah, but this wasn't the right one for me. I've been into Aaliyah since I was little, so there wasn't too much getting into character. I always pretend I'm her anyway."

I guess Aaliyah's family got what they wanted. E Online just reported that Disney star Zendaya Coleman will  "no longer be be involved in the biopic" due to obtaining rights to Aaliyah's music. She was supposed to record some of Aaliyah's music for the movie. Last week, Aaliyah's family came out saying they will block the rights to her music.

No word yet of the biopic will go one with another actress but it sounds like this biopic will get shut down. Kesha Chante and Lolita Price ( who both look more like Aaliyah) has come out recently and said they both did not want to do the movie if they did not get Aaliyah's family's approval.
