Mona Responds To 'Love and Hip hop: New Orleans' Rumor

'Love and Hip Hop' creator and producer , Mona Scott Young, is finally responding to rumors  about the Love and Hip Hop' franchise expanding to fourth city.  New Orleans have been one of rumored cities but Mona quickly dismissed those rumors. She recently appeared in the Essence Live festival she does in fact is setting her eyes on New Orleans for a show but it's not Love and Hip Hop

"Shoutout to New Orleans because I love New Orleans passionately and I have been looking at New Orleans for a show. It’s not Love and Hip Hop at least not at this stage, but I do want to do something there.”

She is at it again! Mona Scott Young who is known for receiving backalsh for her reality shows is set to be one of the producers fora  new reality show for WEtv called 'Ladies Of Law'. Variety.com reports that show will follow for African-American female lawyer 'who specialize in entertainment law'

The show starts production this summer and will premiere next year. I can only imagine how people will react to this since the public reacted poorly to Sorority Sisters.

Mona Responds To Reunion Brawl

'Love and Hip Hop' producer is finally speaking out about Joseline and the Atlanta reunion brawl in a new interview with Centric Arise 360. Mona has been getting a lot of flack for promoting the violence and foolishness that surrounds her franchise.

In a statement below, she says the reason why people keep watching is because people 'see themselves' in the show

"You know, from a personal perspective, there are certain things that I feel like ‘Oh, God.’ Some of the stuff sometimes, I think pushes the envelope a little outside of the boundary…But a big part of what I think makes the show successful is that everyone just expresses themselves at will and sometimes it’s not in line with how the rest of us would express ourselves…But I think people understand the motivations sometimes."

She also says some people understand Joseline's struggles, but were disappointed with her actions.

Mona Scott Young Denies Stealing 'Love and Hip Hop' Show Idea From Other Producers

Earlier this year two female producers name  Trisha Lum and Nikie-Lum Davis sued Mona Scott Young and VH1 for pitching  a show titled 'Hip Hop Wives' which had a similar concept as Love and Hip Hop'. Chrissy Lampkins was originally part of the cast before she went on to join 'Love and Hip hop for two seasons. 

VH1 turned down the show because they did not want to show to compete with basketball Wives at the time. Well, then within the next year or two VH1 premiered 'Love ad Hip Hop'. Trisha and Nikie accused VH1 and Mona of using their show as a template to create Love and Hip Hop.

Jasmine Brand has now exclusively report that VH1 and Mona Scott Young have fired back at the lawsuit ADMITTING that the two producers did pitch them the show back in 2009 but denied allegations that they stole their idea to create 'Love and Hip Hop'. They now demand the lawsuit to be dismissed.

She was asked to be an extra in a pool scene for Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood back in July and says that Mona Scott Young wasn't paying any of them! She refused to be on it, when she found out.

Will The Game become the next VH1 bachelor? There is a RUMOR going around that Mona Scott Young will be producing a VH1 dating show for the rapper.

Remember that meeting they had a few months ago?

Loveandhiphopla.net reports that meeting was NOT for him joining Love and Hip Hop: LA but for a potential dating show that might be in the works.


'Apparently Mona and the team want to create projects outside of the franchise. She took her first steps outside the box with the Chrissy and Jim Jones spin off and now a K Michelle series slated to premiere in September. But there is even more. Mona is working on a real love series. A very close source to the VH1 camp claims that The Game and Mona are working on a series similar to the Bachelor for VH1. The Game will be looking for love.'

This might have some truth to this because a year ago Benizino announced he was going to a spin off dating show, which never happened. So maybe now Mona is offering The Game the show.

Benzino claims producer Mona Scott Young planned the entire reunion fight. He posted this picture of Mona and Joseline on Instagram which was taken AFTER the fight happened. He also says that Mona took Joseline out to dinner to celebrate and calls her 'irresponsible.'

Reality: Something is really off about this woman IF this is really true. We all know that Stevie J was arrested recently for not paying child support. It said he ranked up 1 Million of unpaid to one of his baby mamas.

Well now tea has spilled on Mona Scott Young. First off, I did not know she was the one who bailed him out! Kai Patterson, who is the founder of Project Child Support, is putting the producer on blast accusing of lying and helping Stevie J avoid pay child support!

“I don’t understand how an Executive Producer of a hit television reality series does not enter into any agreements with the cast or any organizations contracted with the cast of a television production. This is a felony child support evasion case, and helping someone commit a felony crime is a felony crime. We are going cooperate with the federal agencies investigating this case and provide them with copies of all documents we received that are related to this case, including Mona Scott’s court ordered subpoena response.”

Reality: Love and Hip Hop creator and producer, Mona Scott Young appeared on The View this morning as a co-host and she got grilled by Sherri Shepherd about the Love and Hip Hop' franchise.

She was asked about the violence on her reality shows and she responded by saying "reality TV is a guilty pleasure for many and the drama is what we like to see". We did learn more about her though. She is Haitian , has been married for 10 years and her husband is a stay at home dad.

Mona's New Reality Show Gets Backlash

Reality: Love and Hip Hop creator and producer, Mona Scott Young, is set to release a new reality show called 'Sorority Sisters' which will be about black females sororities.

 

Well the new show is getting backlash from Black Greeks and there a petition out there for the show not to air claiming that the show promotes stereotypes and makes a mockery of sororities. The petition currently has over 6,000 signatures.

“Stop the spread of ignorance and stereotyping of our beloved Black Greek letter organizations. Our founders amongst EVERY organization worked extremely hard to allow us to unite and flourish not only on college campuses, but as a people well beyond our college days, and Mona Scott-Young now threatens to demolish those aims and goals we all abide by.”

Mona Scott Young's Says Benzino's Shooting Was 'Perfect Timing' For The Show

Reality: Do you still think Benzino's shooting was a set up for the show? Producer Mona Scott Young is spoke to  Vibe Magazine and speaks on the big Love and Hip Hop topicsm Benzino's shooting and Mimi's sex tape scandal.


She says that the Benzino's shooting was  'perfect timing' for the show and describes it as "reality gods"


“The timing and the way that it happened, you have another moment that you go, you can’t make this stuff up. It’s like the reality gods have once again chosen this show to smile upon.”


She also talks about Mimi's sex tape and reveals she nor VH1 has not part in that.

“I have no vested interest in that tape beyond that it’s part of Mimi’s story,” says Mona. When Mimi first told her about its existence, Mona had her doubts. “When she called and said, ‘The head of one of the biggest porn companies got a copy of it,’ did I have my own questions? Of course. Like, really? How did he know it was you? How did he get your phone number?” says Mona. “Did I go, ‘Oh god, this is gonna be insane in the worst and the best way?’ Yes, absolutely. ’Cause ultimately, I’m producing a show that you hope gets ratings and you hope people respond to. Good or bad. I’m just here to document it."

'This Is Hot 97'

Reality: 'Love and Hip hop; producer Mona Scott Young is set to produce another reality series and this one seems interesting. Popular radio station Hot 97 has been given their reality series called  This Is Hot 97 announce by VH1 today which will air March 31st.

The show will follow Funkmaster Flex, Angie Martinez, Miss Info and others as they interview famous stars.

This is the radio station that had that infamous momenet betwen Joe Budden and Consquence last year

Reality News: It looks we got some sort of confirmation of what will be the next 'Love and Hip Hop" city. In a a new interview with Hot 107.9 she says that LA feels like the 'right city" for the next 'Love and Hip Hop" spin off.

There have been rumors that Ray-J and Teairra Marie has been casted for the LA version but this has not been confirmed yet.

Reality News: Mona Scott Young is threatening to sue the staff over the potential leaked cast of 'Love and Hip Hop: LA which consist of Ray-J, Teirra Marie, Karruech Tran, Bow wiw's baby mama Miss Joie, Tyga and Black China

Mona threatened that if she finds out who leaked the potential cast she will fire them because they all signed a confidentiality contract. The reason for Mona’s anger was because she was trying to work things out with a few of the potential cast members like Karrueche who was interested in the show if she could promote her “The Kill” line, but had not discussed the proposal with Chris yet. Needless to say Chris was not happy when he got word via the internet that Karrueche was in talks to possibly join the show without talking it over with him first. And Karrueche didn’t know Chris ex Jasmine Sanders was in talks to be on the show either.

Mona was also upset because Ray-J is locked into a contract with Oxygen doing their “Bad Girls Club Battle” and the only way he would be able to get around his contract with Oxygen was if he went on Love & Hip-Hop LA as a co-producer. Oxygen got word and reminded Ray of his obligation to them not VH1. Also Mona worked with Diddy during the Viacom days [pictured above] and was planning on working something out with him and possibly having Cassie play a miniscule role (Lola Monroe’s bff) on the show, but integral enough for her to promote her music and modeling career. Plus Tyga and Blac Chynawere in talks with E! and Mona wanted to lock them in with her show before E! became aware of their popularity, being E!’s new EVP (Jeff Olde) use to be the EVP at VH1, and worked with Mona to make Love & Hip-Hop the success it is now.
