New Details On Upcoming VH1 Show "Audrina" ( Audrina Patridge "The Hills")

Yesterday VH1 announced their spring shows and one of them was Audrina Partridge's new VH1 show. Here are more details about her show.

This April, Mark Burnett and VH1 are teaming up to give viewers a never-before-seen look into the life of Audrina Patridge, a favorite of MTV’s The Hills and ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, on VH1’s Audrina.
Cameras roll as Audrina takes her career to the next level while working to maintain some sense of normalcy. With the stress of being hounded by the paparazzi, a high-stakes career and looking for Mr. Right, will Audrina manage to handle the pressure and stay grounded?
Besides Audrina’s blossoming career and tumultuous love life, the television personality has something else to focus on – her family. VH1’s Audrina will introduce the world to a never-before-seen side of Audrina – her large, outrageous, Orange County family. As she advances her acting, modeling and business career, she is juggling a prominent role in her large, tight-knit family. With her tell-it-like-it-is mom, Lynn, and chilled-out dad, Mark, at the center of this crazy bunch, Audrina is still expected to have an active presence in the lives of her three younger siblings: former wild child Casey, now married to motocross star Kyle Loza and mother of two; genial younger brother Marky, who aspires to pro motocross himself and has an annoying habit of befriending Audrina’s exes; and 15-year-old sister Samantha, who is already exhibiting a rebellious streak that could put Casey and Audrina’s to shame.
“We are thrilled to be in business, not only with Audrina — a breakout star who has captured the attention of our viewers — but also with Mark Burnett, one of the best storytellers in the business,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production, VH1. “We love that Audrina’s life plays out simultaneously on two levels.  On one level, she is working hard to establish herself in the entertainment industry. But at the same time she has this amazingly real, supportive family in Orange County who keeps her grounded.  Ultimately, this is the story of a young woman with dreams, goals and ambitions all put through the no-BS filter of her family. We love that.”
Work-focused and family-oriented, yet still sexy and dynamic, Audrina shows a personal side of herself this April on VH1 that is funny, relatable and endearing to anyone who’s ever had to balance the expectations of family and friends against their own hopes and dreams.
Audrina Patridge will produce the series along with her manager Dave Fleming, Michael Bloom and Executive Producer Mark Burnett.

VH1 has announced their spring/Summer shows line up. Tough Love (Season 4) will take place in Miami and will premiere this summer. Other new shows include. Love & Hip-Hop with Somaya Reece, Audrina's new show, Saddle Ranch and Wedding Wars.

Spring fever is coming “atchoo” on VH1 with six new series set to premiere in March and April 2011 followed by some summer lovin’ with VH1’s Tough Love guru Steve Ward.  March madness kicks off with three new series: Ton of CashLove & Hip Hop andBeverly Hills Fabulous, followed by AudrinaWedding Wars and Saddle Ranch in April. Summer kicks-off muy caliente when Steve Ward travels to Miami for VH1 Tough Love Miami to help relationship-challenged women to make a splash in the dating pool. From capturing a young starlet’s rise in Hollywood and couples competing for the wedding of their dreams to following a group of women behind some of the biggest names in hip hop and going inside the over the top world of a posh Beverly Hills salon and the LA restaurant world, VH1 gives you a never-before-seen look into competition, life and love.
March premieres include:
Ton of Cash (premieres Monday, March 21, 2011)
14 contestants who are in financial crisis will have a chance at winning big on VH1’s new reality show Ton of Cash. Unlike any other competition reality series, the contestants receive their cash prize up front – literally, one ton of cash.   The only catch is, if they want to keep it, the contestants will need to haul it from Los Angeles to Las Vegas over some of the most rugged and tortuous terrain on earth. Tensions run high at every checkpoint where there is always a possibility of losing cash if the team does not work together. With time and dynamic personalities working against the team, each contestant will need to go through a battle of wits and determination to prove he or she deserves to win the one million dollar prize. Ton of Cash shows you must be careful what you wish for and, if granted, you must be willing to carry its burden.
Love & Hip Hop (premieres Monday, March 21, 2011)
When people think of the hip hop life, they think of the players - the men who shape the music and the blinged-out lifestyle that comes with success. The fact is the hip hop life is different for the women involved: the spouses, girlfriends or artists trying to define themselves in a world where men are still calling the shots. VH1’s new, eight-part docu-soap series Love & Hip Hop follows four dynamic women who are connected to the world of hip hop, whether it’s through the men they love, or their struggle to be heard as an artist. Love & Hip Hop provides a dramatic, funny and sometimes heartbreaking look into the female side of the New York hip hop life as these four women try to claim their own place in it.
Chrissy Lampkin, girlfriend to hip hop star Jim Jones, and Emily Bustamante, girlfriend to rapper Fabolous, are waiting for their men to put a ring on it; however, both men suffer from a  severe case of commitment phobia. Olivia Longott, the former first lady of G Unit, is done living in the shadows and is determined to make it on her own as a solo artist. Like Olivia, Somaya “Boss” Reese, a tall, sexy Latina, also has a fierce determination to launch her rap career and become a household name in the music industry. Will these four women have the endurance and fortitude to survive the chaos of the hip hop game and realize their dreams? Watch it unfold when Love & Hip Hoppremieres Monday, March 21.
Beverly Hills Fabulous (premieres Monday, March 21, 2011)
Get ready for your blowout! VH1 has an appointment at the exclusively swanky and ritzy Elgin Charles Salon, which is the only African-American beauty salon located in the heart of Beverly Hills. Featured in VH1’s newest series, Beverly Hills Fabulous. The Elgin Charles Salon, owned and managed by the one and only Elgin Charles, is a magnet for the who’s who of celebrity clientele. The self-proclaimed, “Emperor of Hair,” will stop at nothing to globalize his hair empire and secure “Elgin Charles” as a household name by perfecting his formulas for his renowned hair care products and expanding his line to reach the masses.  The series features Elgin who has his hands full with his celebrity studded salon, his three highly skilled, but high-maintenance stylists, his ex-wife, comedic actress Jackee Harry and their 16-year-old son Frank, who is an aspiring football star at Beverly Hills High School.
Premiering on Monday, March 21 viewers will meet Elgin’s over-the-top styling team, Sean Cameron, an outspoken bleached blonde, the boisterous and outspoken Lolita “Lo” Goods and country-girl-in-the-big-city Katrina Atkinson, who are all just as ambitious as Elgin and add to the madness at the Elgin Charles Salon. VH1’s Beverly Hills Fabulous will be sure to righteously entertain as the cameras go behind the scenes of the African-American beauty shop following Elgin’s quest to create his hair empire, hitting the Beverly Hills boutiques and restaurants with his crew, all while living as glamorously as their clients..                                                  .

April premieres include:
Audrina (premieres in April 2011)
VH1 follows former The Hills star and Dancing With The Stars competitor Audrina Patridge as she steps into the next stage of her life and career. Viewers will be introduced to a whole new side of Audrina – her large, outrageous, Orange County family. Get a fly-on-the-wall look as Audrina finds herself trying to balance the demands of her two worlds: Hollywood and family. As she proceeds with furthering her acting, modeling and business career she also juggles her prominent role in her big, tight-knit family. With her tell-it-like-it-is mom Lynne at the center of this close bunch, Audrina is still expected to have an active presence in the lives of her three younger siblings: former wild child Casey, genial younger brother Marky and 15-year-old sister Samantha, who is already exhibiting a rebellious streak that could put Casey’s and Audrina’s to shame. Add to this mix of big personalities, the pressure of being hounded by the paparazzi and keeping her career alive while still looking for a love, Audrina is a sexy and dynamic show that is funny and relatable to anyone who’s ever had to balance the expectations of family and friends against what they want for themselves.

Wedding Wars (premieres in April 2011)
Some people want their wedding to be so perfect, they’re willing to fight for it. Literally. On VH1’s new series Wedding Wars, 12 couples will battle each other for the destination wedding of a lifetime. Wedding Wars is a competition-elimination show where each week teams of soon-to-be brides and grooms will fight tooth and nail for a shot at their dream wedding and amazing prizes. The couples will get the surprise of their lives when they learn that they won’t be staying at a five star resort, but instead will be exiled to a remote island location where they will get little food and water and face hardships that will put their relationships to ultimate test. To win the wedding of their dreams, couples must first face the elements and survive in the wilderness. Along the way, they’ll compete in challenges that offer some extravagant wedding prizes: from gourmet wedding cakes and designer wedding gowns to world-class floral arrangements and a dream honeymoon. The couples’ relationships will be tested for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, through good times and really, really bad times. The winning couple will be rewarded with every single prize that’s been up for grabs during their time on the island and most importantly, the winning couple will be joined by their families for the ultimate destination wedding.

Saddle Ranch (premieres in April 2011)
Every year, thousands of young people come to Hollywood to chase their dreams and while they’re waiting to be discovered they’ve got to pay the bills. If they’re dynamic, outrageous, and lucky, they work at the hottest place on the famous Sunset Strip – Saddle Ranch Chop House. Saddle Ranch takes us on a sexy, rock ‘n roll mechanical bull ride into the lives, loves, and “fake it till you make it” dreams of the guys and girls who work at this iconic restaurant - from the hosts at the bottom of the totem pole, to the beautiful bartenders and wait staff, to the demanding managers who watch their every serve and pour.  We’ll also follow the staff in their daily lives as they struggle to make a career in show business.  Some will go on to be celebrities themselves (Kelly Clarkson is just one of many former bartenders who is now a celebrity). Others will get distracted by the easy money, late nights and fast living of the Hollywood nightlife.  Only a lucky few will see their lifelong dream come true. For some, it will be a bad dream that they can’t wake up from. Others will discover working at Saddle Ranch is a dream come true of its own.
Summer premieres include:
VH1 Tough Love Miami (premieres Summer 2011)
Steve Ward is back! This season, Steve takes his Tough Love boot camp to Miami - the ultimate city for relationship-challenged women to make a splash in the dating pool. But don’t worry: Steve has not lost his brutally honest approach to telling it like it is. In fact, it’s what has made he and his mother, JoAnn Ward, one of the most successful matchmaking teams in the country. While in Miami, Steve will work with a group of eight single, attractive women all composed of classic female archetypes including the “too much, too soon” romantic, the “gold digger” and the “late 30’s work obsessed” woman.  They will be living together in a house for 10 weeks and given a chance to learn “Dating 101.” From ex-boyfriends to intimacy to communication, these ladies will face challenges that force them outside of their comfort zone. We’ll see our lovelorn ladies be put to the test, but will they be able to take the heat? In the end, some will graduate while others will struggle to break old dating habits, but all the ladies learn that if you want to find true love you’ve got to listen to Steve. VH1 Tough Love Miami is slated to premiere in summer of 2011.

Shaunie O’Neal On The Gloria Govan Ambush: It Was A Bad Day

shaunie_ambush

Shanue O Neal speaks about her confrontation with Gloria.

Tell me what you think about the incident with Gloria.
It was one of those things where Royce called, and said, “Let’s go and see Gloria and Suzie because this is the only time we’ll get to see them.” She had questions for Gloria, even though they ended up not being asked. I was in Orlando with my kids, and that was the only point of being in that city. Getting that call, it was like, “All right, I’m already here, so let’s go.” We kind of go everywhere together when we’re in each other’s cities. I think the whole thing just took its own direction. As soon as we got there, everything deteriorated so fast and went to a whole other place than probably anyone wanted to go. For me, I can say it was a bad day. As I was going into the restaurant, I was thinking, “Why am I even doing this? This is just pointless and out of my character.” I should have followed my gut, but in the midst of the adrenalin and being with my girls and supporting each other, I rolled with it. I guess people are blaming this on the Laura Govan/Shaquille allegations, and it’s so not that. That’s so last year. I think everybody’s over that, including Gloria, but I don’t want to speak for her. It doesn’t come up in my life at all ever. It was other stuff with Gloria and me: there was tension there. And I guess with us all walking into that restaurant, Gloria immediately went into defense mode, which then sparked a lot of nonsense going back and forth between us.
There was also a bunch of stuff said before the world saw what it saw. There were things said before that, which would probably help make sense of why we even got to the discussion on why she didn’t get married. I think Gloria felt like she was being ambushed and that her back was against the wall so she was going to throw out whatever she possibly could throw out. I get that, but the things she did say were things we could never show on TV due to them having nothing to do with myself, Jenn, Evelyn or Royce. She was totally attacking our exes, and saying what filth and dirty and pathetic men they are, which she thought would be insulting to us. I could give a damn. You can talk about Shaquille all day. It really doesn’t matter. Your opinion of him has nothing to do with me. We were kind of laughing at her, like, “OK, so what? We know who we’re dealing with. We already know what these guys have done.” We were kind of laughing at her, and she said, “Look who you picked!” That’s when we went into, “Well, sweetie, you didn’t get married, so there must be something wrong with your dude, too.”
I think the scene would have made a little more sense with that part in tact, but with me being an executive producer, I don’t want to bash the guys. I don’t ever want that to be the show. It was really important to me to protect the guys from that crap. I wish that people could hear the whole conversation, but at the same time, I’m happy they didn’t, because that’s not whatBasketball Wives is about. It’s not about bashing the guys. And this wasn’t intentional, I’m sure, on Gloria’s part, but that’s just what she came up with in the midst of the arguing. She said that that’s how I got to be miserable. And the whole bitter part? I absolutely having nothing to be bitter about. My kids and I live the same exact lifestyle we always did during my marriage and as they can see on TV, nothing has changed. We’re going on the same exact vacations, driving the same cars. No one’s hurting. I’m able to maintain my lifestyle and step away and do Shaunie. I’m in a new relationship, I’m happy. If anything, I’m in a better place than ever before. There’s nothing to be bitter about. It was just a bad day. That’s what I chalk it up to. I participated in mess due to the exchange of words that never should have been said.

Do you regret the incident?
I regret not following my gut. My gut feeling was not to even go. It wasn’t that important to me if I ever saw Gloria again. It’s not something that even crossed my mind. What happened there and what was said was absolutely natural. It was a natural reaction and I think most women would have reacted the same exact way. And like I said, it was a bad day and it was immature of us, but had people seen the conversation, they’d know that we didn’t go in there for the sole purpose of teasing Gloria about her relationship.

I think it’s also important to remember that this beef didn’t come from nowhere – you’ve said things about Gloria, and Gloria has said plenty of negative things about you guys and the show.
It says a lot that she’s back on the show. She said she’d never come back and she didn’t want anything to do with it. But she’s back and she asked to come back. Maybe that was what she wanted: those five minutes of bad-ass Gloria. I don’t know.

Any thoughts on following her out to the car?
It had gotten so heated. She was cussing everyone out and whatever, and it was like, “You’re real bad-ass here when you have 30 people in the room that you know will not let anything happen.” I mean, I’m not going to fight. That’s not in my character. But at the same time, you want to be Billy Badass, and when it wasn’t working, when attacking the guys wasn’t affecting us, then it’s up and leave. No, let’s finish.

What has the fallout over this been like? Do you feel bashed on Twitter?
Yes and no. I’m a confident person, and I know what it is. People have questioned my mothering and called me bitter, but I know I’m a wonderful mother and a wonderful human being. I get pissed off and mad and sad and react to things just like the next person. I think there are a lot of judgmental people out there. Some of the comments I read piss me off because it’s like, “You don’t know me.” If you don’t get mad and say some things and react some ways in your life at some point or another that make you think back and say, “OK, I could have dealt with that better,” then you’re not human. But it’s done, it’s said, it’s a learning experience. I don’t think anybody really needs an explanation, but it is hurtful if you question my mothering skills or question me as a person. It’s frustrating to read and listen and ignore when you want to just say, “Are you stupid?” You can’t define me in seven minutes of an edited piece of film.

I also wish that people could take a step back and realize that this is exactly why they’re watching the show. On this blog, a lot of the comments have been angrily critical of you guys, but very few have stated, “I’m not watching this anymore.” That says a lot.
The bottom line is that’s the goal. We want a successful show, but that’s not to say that we’re going on there to argue to get our success. We shot for two or three months and had plenty of good times, but unfortunately, nobody wants to see those Little House on the Prairie moments.

That’s when people would say, “This is boring. I’m not watching it anymore.”
Exactly! Tami was Twittering earlier, “You hate us so much, but you’re still watching.” Hate it or love it, we still have the views and it’s one of those things where every week, someone’s going to judge and have an opinion. We just have to deal with it. But I’ve really got some thick skin, so it is what it is.
