Rachel Uchitel Speaks on Celebrity Rehab Stint, Battle With "Love Addiction"

In a rare TV interview, Tiger Woods' famed mistress Rachel Uchitel spoke on theToday Show about her addiction to love and how that led her astray.
Appearing alongside her Celebrity Rehab mentor, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Rache promoted her stint on the VH1 program and explained why she went on it.
"I knew that I needed help," Uchitel, who claims she went on the program to deal with her love addiction. "And I wanted to get it from Dr. Drew."
Love Addict

The 35-year-old all-pro mistress also said she was being treated for addiction to Ambien and other prescribtion medications, which she did not identify.
Dr. Dew said Rachel Uchitel's condition is partly triggered by traumatic events in her past, such as the premature deaths of her father and fiance Andy.
She was set to get married before he perished in the 9/11 attacks.
"People think it is a moral issue if somebody falls in love, all over the place," Uchitel said. "It is not, it is a disease and disorder; you feel like you have a hole in your heart and are waiting for a knight in shining armor to come and save you."
In her case, that knight must be married and famous.
"But it is not an excuse for anyone's behavior. You get stuck in relationships that are not right; you put a mask over somebody and pretend they’re somebody they’re not. You get disappointed when they don’t react the way you want."
Pretty much what happened with David Boreanaz.
Fortunately, "I'm a completely different person now than I was before I went on the show," Uchitel said of the "most intense" Celebrity Rehab season yet.
The show premieres Wednesday. Don't miss it.

Celebrity Rehab 4 Premieres December 1st

Exclusive Video: T.I. Performs 'Rubber Band Man' on 'VH1 Storytellers'

In this exclusive clip from his forthcoming VH1 Storytellers episode, T.I. further explains the meaning of his song "Rubber Band Man" and performs it with a full band.
Many people wondered why T.I. wore rubber bands on his wrists early in his career, and rather than explaining it repeatedly, the MC broke it down in the lyrics of the 2003 song, his first major hit.
T.I.'s VH1 Storytellers will air on the channel on December 10, just three days after his new LP, No Mercy , comes out. T.I. also discusses his current 11-month prison sentence during the show.

Dr. Drew Gets HLN Show

Dr. Drew
HLN, the softer-news sister of CNN, is adding a talk show in prime time hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, the celebrity doctor who has a suite of rehab reality shows on VH1.
The channel said Monday that Dr. Pinsky, better known among his fans as Dr. Drew, would start the show next spring. Oddly, the channel did not specify a time slot.
HLN currently features “Issues” with Jane Velez-Mitchell at 7 p.m. Eastern, “Nancy Grace” at 8 and “The Joy Behar Show” at 9. “Nancy Grace” is replayed at 10 p.m., so that time slot is a sensible one for Dr. Pinsky’s program.
In a news release, HLN downplayed Dr. Pinsky’s television credentials and played up that he is a “practicing physician who is also board certified in internal and addiction medicine.” Dr. Pinsky has a private practice and is on staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
The channel said his talk show would tackle “a broad range of subjects every night,” including relationships, addiction and “finding constructive ways to navigate common struggles facing parents and their children alike.” Certainly he will be analyzing the celebrities and crime cases that HLN covers at other hours of the day.
Dr. Pinsky has been a media figure for decades, going back to 1984, when he was the host of the radio show “Loveline.” More recently. his personal brand has been burnished — or blemished, some would say — by “Celebrity Rehab,” “Sober House” and “Sex Rehab” on VH1. “Celebrity Rehab” is in its fourth
