"Where Are They Now?" With Lil Hood
My "Where Are They Now" interviews will continue throughout the month of April. If you happened to visit my blog for the first time, I'm doing these "Where Are They Now" interviews with old school VH1 reality stars to see what they are doing now since being on VH1. I started doing them last month and will go on throughout the summer. I already did Weasel (Daisy of Love) and Ashley Douglas (Tool Academy) You can read their new interviews in the Interview tab above.
Lil Hood was one of my favorite contestants on For The Love Of Ray--J. So I decided to interview her. In this interview she talks about her memories being on For The Of Ray-J and also talks that infamous rap song. She is now engaged and planning to get married this June.
@VH1lilhood
You are best known for being Lil Hood in the 1st season of "For The Love Of Ray-J" What was your fondest memory being on the show?
My fondest memory from the show I would have to say was that initial rush of just going on the show period. Everything from going from the hotel, to the club to meet Ray then being taken to our house. Every day was a new interesting experience
I think your moment from the show was that rap song you did for Ray-J. Did you expect that kind of reaction from him?
Oh the infamous rap ! I actually think its hilarious because a lot of people don't understand it is a T.V show with producers, editors the whole nine yards and the characters they see us as is not who we really are. So of course that reaction was expected. Come on now do I really look like a rapper!
Do you still keep in touch with Ray-J or any of the girls from the show?
I don't keep in touch with Ray but I do still keep in contact with some of the girls.
Do people still call you Lil Hood til this day?
Only as a joke my friends will sometimes throw that name around or people like Pauly better known as Weasel and Leah better known as Cashmere will often call me hoodski
You were also on I Love Money 3" which we did not get to see. What was your fondest memory being on that show?
Oh wow I Love Money what an experience ! I can honestly say that show would have been one of the best shows VH1 ever put out and every one of the cast members would most certainly agree. I met some of my closest friends to this day on that show.
I have so many fond memories I could literally write a book. Everything from us riding in on the boats singing and dancing like we were at a club , the crazy challenges that despite me being the smallest in the house I still managed to get through , the big blow out fights and there were even a few trips to the ER for a few of us. Yes I was one of them. I'm sorry to say I cant pin point just one fond memory from that show because all of them were just too amazing to ever forget.
From that show, you became good friends with Joe (Megan Wants A Millionaire) and Lacey (Rock of Love) do you still keep in touch with them?
Oh of course Pauly , Lacey , Joe and I will always remain close.
Joe and I were room mates for a while out in LA Lacey and I were also.
Joe and I talk on a daily basis we are known by everyone as two peas in a pod.
He will also be attending me wedding in Florida this June.
So, what have you been up to since your VH1 days?
Since my Vh1 days I have actually been doing the same things I was before the show I am still Modeling & Acting. I was Living in Los Angeles for a few years after show which is where I met my Fiancé Kevin Voogt but we recently re located back to my home town of Orlando Florida. I will be working with agents I have been with since the young age of 12 and will continue in the industry I live for and love.
Lastly, have you ever consider doing reality TV again?
I would Of course do another reality show but it honestly depends on what it is.
Thank you, for this interview. Would you like to add anything else?
Just to keep an eye out because you most certainly haven't seen the last of me!
