The 33 Interviews the Football Wives Premieres OCT 24th On VH1

DALLAS, TEXAS - The Dallas Film Commission says this has been their biggest year so far. In fact, Dallas is becoming a reality television hub. VH1's 'Football Wives' is the latest show to shoot here. It debuts in just 10 days. Today, we met up with some members of the cast for DFW's first look at the show.

Amanda Davis, Dawn Neufeld and Erin McBriar met us at Neufeld's Frisco home. The series was shot right here in North Texas over the last three months. Most of the wives' husbands are Cowboys players present and past.

Like most reality shows featuring wives of some sort - the show is packed with a lot of bling and a lot of drama.

"You know those football wives, they can be bitches," Cast member Dawn Neufeld said with a grin.

The ladies say it's those common misconceptions they hope the show will squash. "You gotta have thick skin, really thick skin," Cast member Amanda Davis said.

"One of the things I'm hoping we accomplish is to tell what it's really like, to get away from the stereotypes of what we are," Neufeld said.

The Dallas Film Commission says 'Football Wives' was one of some 320 productions to shoot in Dallas this year alone.

"We've had an industry here and sometimes it's gone unnoticed - but because we've had some higher profile productions lately - it's really brought up the attention," Dallas Film Commission Director Janis Burklund said.

The wives say their show does a great job of showing the city off.

"I think we're going to show all the amazing things are to do in Dallas; From hanging out at North Park to being up in the suburbs at the Shops at Legacy. We kind of covered from one end to the other," Neufeld said.

The wives don't know how North Texans are going to react, but say the show was a chance they just couldn't pass up.

" It was just an opportunity, you know, you're not going to get this again," Cast member Erin McBriar said.

The song featured in our piece was actually sung by one of the 'Football Wives' cast members, Melani Ismail .

The other cast members are: Pilar Sanders, Chanita Foster, Brittany Pigrenet and Mercedes Nelson.

You can catch 'Football Wives' on VH1 Sundays at 9:30 p.m. starting on October 24th. -
