VH1access Update Interview: Kerry (Frank The Entertainer)

I decided to do a follow up interview with Kerry from Frank The Entertainer.. A Basement affair. She has gone though a lot lately with her insect bite, drama with Jersey Shore's Angelina. We also talk about JT Maple and and upcoming project.

Last time I've interviewed her was when she won the show. Follow her on Twitter

VH1access: You have been receiving  a lot of media attention lately, especially on TMZ about your bug bite. What happened?
Kerry: I have been Getting a lot of media attention from TMZ as you have seen. "Inside Edition" at CBS hit me up as well. I'll be doing an interview at there studios on Monday.

VH1access: When did you first start to notice something was wrong?
Kerry: I woke up with something on my leg that looked like a bug bite,so I didn't pay much attention to it. Day by day it was getting bigger, but I thought to myself..it usually gets worse before it gets better.
I was at beat stock with Cathy on Sunday night and my leg was in pain all day.
At one point it got so bad I could barely drive home and was on the verge of tears! I told Cathy I need to go to the ER asap so i dropped her off and went straight to the hospital.

VH1access: How did your family and Cathy react to it?
Kerry: Everyone kind of had the same reaction. "EW GROSS". Cathy was with me that night and she could tell I was in a lot of pain. Once I found out what was inside I freaked! It's not only scary but if I let it go another few days it could have been a deadly infection. My mother was on vacation when all of this happened so she was super worried and now that she's home she wants to make sure I take care of it properly.

VH1access: How was the surgery process?
Kerry: It wasn't fun..especially since I was all by myself.
TMZ said that I went under surgery...I wish!! because if i had surgery they would have put me to sleep. Unfortunately when I got to the ER they gave me a shot in the wound to numb me, So I was awake when they cut my leg open and when they were scrapping out whatever was in my leg! It was the longest 15 minutes of my life and also very, very painful. The doctor left a nasty gap in my leg which is still open and draining right now.  There was blood every where....I hope no one ever has to go through what I had to that night.

VH1access: Did they took everything out? or they still need to work on it?
Kerry: There wasn't a "sack" of eggs in my leg. It was a terrible infection that was caused by some kind of insect. it left some kind of eggs in my leg..but its not what you are thinking. Like I said the wound is still open and it has to drain so everything comes out over the next few days. next week I will go back and get it stitched up and make sure there is nothing left inside.

VH1access: Do you know what type of bug was it? I heard it was a spider.
Kerry: I'm not 100% on what kind of insect it was...and i'm not sure I want to know. However, I believe it was some kind of spider.

VH1access: I just find that so weird that something like that could happen. What are the odds of that happening.
Kerry: trust me, I'm still in shock!
you'd be surprised to know this happens more often than people think. Unfortunately I was one of them...and I pray that this never happens again or to any of you! Its disgusting as well as a very painful process.

VH1access: Will this leave a scar on your thigh? ad how long it the healing process?
Kerry: This will def leave a scar in my mind forever!! lol But yes, it will leave a small scar, but nothing to crazy.

VH1access: Alright lets talk about JT Maple. You recently appeared in his music video. How did you end up being in his music video? and can you tell the readers more about JT Maple.
Kerry: 360 digital studios and JT actually got in touch with me about the video. They had watched the show and took a liking to me, so they asked me to be the leading lady in the video. I was more than happy to do it, besides I have done a few music videos before.
JT Maple is super talented! he kind of reminds me of a younger version of John mayor.
I wish him the best, he deserves it.

VH1access: I also heard that you and Cathy are having a new TV project coming soon?
Kerry: I'm not going to go into to much detail with that. However, I can tell you there is def something in the works and you have not seen the last of " Cathy and Kerry".

VH1access: Are you doing any other projects or events that we should know about?
Kerry: Cathy and I are always doing appearances and such. in fact we have one on PA this weekend which should be a big hit! Like I said before, as far as projects go, I can't give you to much information ;)

VH1access: You also been having some drama with Jersey Shore's Angelina. What is the deal with her?
Kerry: She is just a waste of life. I have never had so much Pitty on a person..I honestly feel bad for her and hope she gets over all of these insecurities about herself. It must be hard for her to wake up every morning and look in the mirror.
However, She talks a good talk and when someone messes with Cathy...they mess with Me. basically...The girl will get it when she LEAST expects it...and dont you worry, Cathy and I will make sure the whole world sees it ;)

VH1access: Well Kerry thank so much for doing this interview. Do you want to give a shout out to anyone?
Kerry: Yes- shout out to The best DJ...my boy DJ Jove and of course my boo Cathy. Also just want to thank all of my friends and fans for being so supportive through out all of this..they put a smile on my face every day :) xoxo

Frank's show was originally called "Basement Of Love"

Who prefers this title? I do. Frank The Entertainer.... A Basement affiar was originally called Basement Of Love. They should have kept that title better. It's shorter lol

VH1 Star -- An Insect Laid Eggs Inside My Leg!

0809_Buggin_Out_launch_V3
24-year-old Kerry Schwartz -- who won VH1's "Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair" -- claims she decided to head to the ER on Sunday after noticing a bump resembling a bug bite on her leg ... that had grown to the size of a handbal

Schwartz tells TMZ, doctors quickly determined it wasn't a bite ... and sliced into the bump to get a better look ... revealing a nest of "insect eggs" buried deep inside of Kerry's flesh.

Doctors performed a two-hour surgery -- during which they scooped the eggs out of a gaping hole in her thigh ... leaving Kerry with a pretty nasty wound.

Kerry tells us she has another doctor's appointment tomorrow -- you know, to make sure there aren't any leftovers. As for the burning question -- what kind of bug was it? -- Kerry tells us the doctors weren't sure.

Jersey Shore's Angelina NOT A FAN of Frank the Entertainer's Cathy

Team Cathy ALL THE WAY.  It seems like Jersey Shore's Angelina is not a fan of a another Staten Island chick, Cathy.  I do not know what she said about Cathy but, she has been talking shit about Cathy to Kerry. Which is too me is so pathetic because Kerry is Cathy's best friend, why on earth would you tell negative shit about  Cathy to Kerry? and that is what Cathy said on her facebook page

Cathy says:

"ppl love to run their mouths when they know they cant be touched. security isnt gunna follow u back to staten island, bitch ;)"

This is what Kerry tweeted:

The return of Cathy & Kerry?

Kerry announced on her twitter page and facebook page that her and Cathy will be back. She says "Missing Cathy and Kerry? don't you worry ... there is something coming soon!" Could it be another reality show? There was a facebook petition a while back to get Cathy and Kerry their own show. So who knows. We just have to wait and see. Kerry won Frank The Entertainer.. A Basement Affair, while Cathy was the runner-up.

NewYorkHipHopnews.com interview Melissa DeBlieck from Frank the Entertrainer..A Basement Affair

Melissa from Frank The entertainer.. A Basement Affiar did an interview with newyorkhiphopnews.com about her experience on the show. She also tells them that she is now in bartender in L.A, she also talks about life in L.A and moving out of her hometown which is Minnesota. She also says if she had her own show it would be called " The Crusher Of Love"

Interview: We’re right here with Melissa from VH1’s “Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair”…

Melissa: Perfect timing, I’m wet and naked right now!

Interview: (Laughs) Perfect! Do you need a few minutes?

Melissa: (Laughs) Nope, it’s perfectly fine!

Interview: How are you? Minus the naked part (laughs)

Melissa: (Laughs) I’m good, how are you?
Interview: I’m really well, thank you. The first thing we want to know is what made you decide to join the cast of VH1’s reality show, “Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair?”

Melissa: At first, I did it for fun. I was out on a trip to Los Angeles with a couple of my girlfriends and I just got stopped on the street [about it]. I guess I was crazy enough that they stopped me on the street and asked me if I wanted to be on the show (laughs).

And then I found out it was for Frank, and I thought he was a little hottie! I said hey, why not? I’m a single gal!

Interview: Ok so they actually approached you on the street instead of you filling something out and sending it in?
Melissa: Yeah!

Interview: What was your initial reaction like? Was it something you had to think about or were you instantly interested?

Melissa: At the time I was intoxicated! So I was all for it (laughs). I thought it was great. It was fun and I was on vacation. I thought it would be great to meet Frank and so on. I said why not?

Interview: You were intoxicated walking down the streets of Los Angeles with your girlfriends – anyone who stopped you, their idea would have sounded great (laughs).

Melissa: Right, exactly (laughs). All I heard was “your going to be on TV!” (laughs). It all sounded fun.

Interview: Exactly. Your from Minnesota; not exactly big city, bright lights. The show took place in New York. How did you adjust to that?

Melissa: Coming from Minnesota, everything was very different. When I went and lived in his house, it was not like my family at all. In the family oriented part, we were very similar, but the loud and passion and the craziness of all the drama that happens in an Italian family was crazy! (laughs). That’s not really how my family operates. We keep things to ourselves a little more. If something is bothering us, we handle it the Minnesota nice way. It’s not so dramatic (laughs).

That was very different for me. I loved it because I was coming from a place where there isn’t a lot happening in Minnesota. Not many people go to live their dreams in Minnesota (laughs). Going to New York was super fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Interview: I imagine dealing with those of European descent was a lot different than what you’re used to. At first, was it like a culture shock?

Melissa: The food was delicious! (laughs). It wasn’t so much a culture shock because I’m very open minded; I keep my mind open to a lot of different things and different things I experience. Things were just different for me. It was strange in a good way (laughs).

Interview: And how did you adjust?

Melissa: I just made friends like I normally do. That’s the easiest thing for me. My mother always told me I have the gift of gab (laughs). I used my ability well and I just made friends. I hoped that would do enough. I tried to get in good with Frank’s mom because I think it’s really important to have the parents like you. When I was feeling homesick or anything like that, I would go talk to Susan [Frank’s mom] or Gary [Frank’s dad] and I’d feel better because it would make me feel like home, even though it wasn’t the same circumstances of my family (laughs).

Interview: And we’re about to get into that in a minute. The obvious shocker of the show is the basement setting instead of your typical reality show, beautiful mansion. How did you react to that?

Melissa: I was a little disappointed because I thought oh well Frank is getting his own show, he’ll get his own mansion and all this great stuff! And I’ll totally be living in a mansion for however long! This is so great! It’s gonna’ be awesome! (laughs). And then I was like oh? Well…ok! (laughs). That’s how it went down. I was expecting extravagant and it just got average, which is ok because I’m used to average. I guess I shouldn’t shoot too far (laughs).

Interview: And how long had it been since you were following “parents” rules in a household?

Melissa: I’m a very respectable girl so I always feel like if you’re in someone else’s home, you need to respect their rules. Because of that, it didn’t take me long to understand having to respect their rules. Of course you have to get a little crazy to get to know people, but also we were in the setting of another person’s home, and not only is it another person’s home, but it’s another parent’s home. I feel like giving your parents the best that you have is very important, so I didn’t want to leave them with a bad impression of me.

Interview: It’s safe to say you adjusted well then?

Melissa: I think so; I adjusted well to following their rules. I think I’m a pretty good adjuster (laughs).

Interview: Ok. You touched on it earlier but I want you to go into more specifics. How did you get along with his parents, Gary and Susan?

Melissa: Yeah, Gary and Susan. I think I got along with them well. I don’t think I was the right type of girl for them [that they had in mind for Frank]. Let’s say if the circumstances were different and we were having a reality show in Minnesota, and they were from Minnesota, I think I would have been the perfect girl for them [for Frank]. But, those weren’t the circumstances. I think they liked me as a person but maybe didn’t like me as their future daughter in law. That’s ok and it happens (laughs).

Interview: Ok. Frank had been on a few VH1 reality shows already. The fact that he already had a background in reality TV, did that make you take the show less seriously? How did it change your views on it?

Melissa: After meeting him, you kind of forget that he was on all these reality shows before. He is such a down to earth person. I think on TV, he seems crazier than he really is in person. I don’t know, maybe he was just acting like that because it was his show and he didn’t want to be too crazy on his own show. I don’t know. I feel he had more of a heart and was more genuine on his own show and in front of us girls. I think the way he was perceived on “I Love Money” [previous VH1 reality show Frank was on], he was this crazy this guy who seemed like he needed money. Meeting him in person was a lot better. I didn’t feel like he was putting on a show or anything.

Interview: Speaking of getting crazy and what not, did the show not air anything that you’d like to tell us about that was a little out there?

Melissa: (Laughs) well I did fall in the hot tub one time! But, I did save my cigarette so that’s good! (laughs).

Interview: They didn’t show that one?

Melissa: No they didn’t. There were a few things that they didn’t show. Me and Frank had a few romantic moments here and there. We played hide and go seek with all the girls, I think it was a little later on – a lot of the girls had already gone home, there were only a few of us left. We played hide and go seek one night and I remembered winning! It was the only thing I ever won on the show. I didn’t win any challenges, which may I say I’m super pissed about because I’m super competitive and super athletic! I was like how the hell am I not winning any challenges? (laughs).

We played this hide and go seek game and I ended up winning. That was one of our first moments where we had an intimate kiss. I was kind of disappointed when they didn’t show things like that because I know my mom was like “No wonder he sent you home, you barely got to know Frank.” There were behind the scenes things like the hide and go seek, or when me and him kissed in the kitchen after dinner one day. There are a few things they didn’t show. Whatever they did and didn’t show, I’m sure they had their own right or wrong reasons. Who knows?

Interview: Based on what they did show, do you think they did a good job getting your true character across?

Melissa: Yes and no. I feel like I’m Minnesota nice but trailer park? No, never (laughs). I think I’m classy and just because I have a Minnesota accent doesn’t mean I’m from Farmville  and I’m a hick (laughs). I feel like that’s what they portrayed me as. I feel like a lot of Minnesota natives get portrayed like that, where-as these New York girls got portrayed as crazy, super fun and loud. What I want people to know is I’m just as fun and just as crazy. I have a whole different side of me that the producers didn’t show. It wasn’t just crazy or fun, I had all of it. They had characters, I’m not gonna’ mention names, but they threw up in the toilet and things like that (laughs). I’m ok that I didn’t get shown doing those type of things.

Interview: At least you’re happy that you kept a classy perception.

Melissa: Yeah, for the most part (laughs). It’s still reality TV!

Interview: (Laughs) still reality TV indeed. Did you have one particular moment with Frank that sticks out to you?

Melissa: I think the time that they didn’t really show, when we did the hide and go seek thing, I won hide and go seek, and the winner got to go down to his basement and get a massage from him. That gave us time to get to know each other. I think I stayed around for a few more eliminations after that because we really got to know each other on a different level.

On a dating show, he’s getting to know other girls too. I think with me not being able to win a challenge, I started to fade into the background. He forgets about the intimate time we had downstairs, or that intimate time when we kissed in the kitchen, because there are so many other people winning dates and such. I just got pushed away which was kind of sad, but I didn’t want to do something that I’d regret later like sleep with him or do this or that. I didn’t want to be somebody I wasn’t in order to win his heart. For me, I had to be me. I don’t want somebody to like me for somebody who I wasn’t.

Interview: It all ultimately leads to the question would you do it again?

Melissa: Oh yeah. I totally would. I met a lot of great friends. Me and Frank still stay in touch. I still stay in touch with about five of the girls. I made a lot of good friends. Me and Melody are really good friends. We’ve traveled around the country together, not around the world (laughs). I would absolutely do it again; it was a great time to meet people. You’re only in your twenties one time, so why not? (laughs).

Interview: What are you up to now?

Melissa: Well, I’m still naked! (laughs).

Interview: She’s still naked! I haven’t kept her long enough on this phone where she put some clothes on and dry off.

Melissa: (Laughs) I’m going to work right now. I just got a new job bartending and I’m living in Los Angeles now. I’m just living the dream! The sunshine, I’m away from cold Minnesota. It was exciting for me to move away. I love the sunshine here, the weather. Los Angeles is amazing. Even if there’s nothing going on, you’re just hanging out on the patio and enjoying the sunshine. It’s very different from Minnesota but I feel like I’ve learned a lot since I’ve been here. I’ve learned a lot about myself and about life. I don’t think that happens a lot to people. People think dreams are impossible to come true but I believe in them. Whatever it is that you want to do; you should go for it because you only live once. That’s what I did. I had the opportunity to move out here after the show and I took it. I haven’t regretted it yet.

Interview: This girl is on the move y’all! From Minnesota to Los Angeles! She was naked in the beginning and now she’s already on her way to work. That’s the definition of a go getter! I don’t know what Frank was thinking, he messed up!

Melissa: (Laughs) why thank you.

Interview: (Laughs) what’s next up for Melissa?

Melissa: Who knows? The crusher of love?

Interview: The crusher of love?

Melissa: All those eligible bachelors want to come win my heart? I’ll crush yours!

Interview: “The Crusher of Love”, the perfect title for your own show.

Melissa: Exactly! I think we’re going to name it “The Crusher of Love.”

Interview: We can pitch that to someone, that’s for sure.

Melissa: (Laughs) definitely.

Interview: You need to go ahead and copyright that one. Once it gets published in here, it’s free game.

Melissa: (Laughs) Right!
Interview: Alright Melissa, I really appreciate your time. We’re gonna’ let you go on that note. Do you have any last words before I let you go?

Melissa: You guys enjoy the wonderful weekend! I will be in Los Angeles at the beach all weekend. I hope everybody enjoys. Follow me on Twitter at www.twitter.com/melissavh1. You can always see what I’m up to on my Twitter. You can also find me on Facebook under Melissa DeBlieck.

VH1access Interview: Cathy (Frank The Entertainer)

Another interview I have done recently is the runner up from Frank The Entertainer.. A Basement Affiair , Cathy.  In this interview her experience being ont he show. What she thinks about Frank, she also talks about Renee and she also says she has no regrets sleeping with Frank.

VH1access: Hey Cathy thanks for doing this interview.

Cathy: Sorry this took so long! Here it is!

VH1access: How your experience doing this show and what made you decide to audition?

Cathy: I got an email about the show and was like, "I am sooooo doing this!" Then coincidentally Kerry called me up a few days later saying that her friend was casting for the show and she thought I'd be perfect for it. We ended up going to film our audition tapes back to back and we were both chosen. Being on the show was the greatest experience. I met some really amazing people. I always say everything happens for a reason, and looking back from how I met Kerry to the end of the show, to NOW, everything just makes sense. I really grew as a person.

VH1access: Now lets talk about the physical connection thing, do you have any regrets sleeping with him?

Cathy: I have no regrets at all. I was 100% myself on the show. I was really feeling Frank and so I didn't hold back. What does piss me off though is all the people commenting that I slept with him to stay on the show or referring to me as a slut. First of all, YOU, the viewer, don't know me. You know what you see on tv. Putting all modesty aside, I am pretty much the total package, so sex or not I would have been there, believe that. Second of all, sleeping with someone you like is not slutty. Yea, sometimes holding off is better in the long run, but I'm all about just living for the moment. It felt right.

VH1access: Now you told me on twitter that there was a lot of drama that went on in that house that the VH1 editors edit out. What other stuff happened?

Cathy: There was just so much shit that happened that was edited out. In the beginning when Felicia, Jenny and Christi bonded with Kerry and I, we were kinda like the mean girls. Felicia, Christi and I would talk so much shit in the bathroom about the other girls I really don't know how they didn't show it lol. When Uncle Benny came to dinner after the baseball game he totally blew up my spot and told everyone he recognized me from another reality show. For the next few episodes I was coming clean little by little about my experience in the entertainment industry. Frank told me he didn't care but he kept bringing it up, so I was really surprised they didn't mention it bc it was a big deal. I guess there was just too much shit on me and people would wonder how the hell I was there til the end lol. At the family party, everyone kept asking if I was Cathy or Felicia, so when Felicia won ALL the categories, I was pissed. I got really drunk and pretty much cursed everyone out. I tried to run away... I was a hot fucking mess lol. In my mind I thought people could have been mistaking her for me.The night I told Kerry I slept with Frank I was very drunk and SCREAMING at my sister on the phone, trying to tell her what happened and they kept disconnecting me because everyone in the living room heard what I was saying. Obviously they didn't want the other girls hearing me saying I slept with Frank, but then I went and told Kerry anyway. When Frank went on his dates and we were stuck at home we did some crazy shit. I think the funniest was all the games we played to stay occupied. For example, suck and blow, duck duck goose, and "I went down to frank's basement and I brought...". You would have also been thoroughly disgusted to hear some of the shit we talked about lol.

VH1access:  Now lets talk about Renee on the show it seems like you were annoyed with her. But now it seems like you two are cool.

Cathy: Renee annoyed me on the show. She is the kinda girl who tries VERY hard. It comes across as needy, desperate... pretty much a total kiss ass. She was the tattle tale and the girl who took all the abuse in the house. I have to say I really do feel bad about all that. Now that I know more about her, I understand why she is the way she is. She's not a bad person. She was a girl trying VERY hard to win the heart of the guy we were all supposed to be fighting for. I think in an everyday situation she is much different.

VH1access: What are yout thoughts on Frank now? He said some things about you on his VH1.com interview that I wasn't happy about.

Cathy: Yea, he said some things I wasn't so happy about either. To act like you just slept with someone because you could is pretty fucking disgusting. Frank and I didn't hit it off at first I'll admit we fought all the time, but it was more like play fighting after we had a few days of one another. Without getting into the dirty details it was very obvious he was extremely turned on by me; so, even if he fucked me because he thought I was really hot, that's not "doing it because he was drunk". He edited his interview to say all nice things about me because he wanted to save face. He doesn't want any of us talking shit about him. I have no problems with him, and we discussed his exit interview in which he told me a lot (and I really appreciate how honest he is actually), but I still would have never said the things he did.

VH1access: Do you have any regrets doing this show?

Cathy: I absolutely have no regrets. I went into this with reality tv experience, so I knew pretty much exactly what to expect. Plus, Kerry and I became even closer from this experience so I gained a best friend amongst a bunch of new friends!

VH1access: Now the show is over, what have you've been doing now? Do you have any other TV projects coming soon?

Cathy: I've been getting a lot of requests from people who want to work with me on things. I'd love to do more reality in the near future, so we will see what happens!

VH1access: Well thank you you for doign this interview. Do you want to give a shotu out to anyone?

Cathy: I wanna give a shout out to my A-Listers (Christi, Felicia, Jenny, and especially my partner in crime Kerry!) and all my other basement b*tches!!
