VH1 Mob Wives Starts Filming after the Holidays + Cast Member Revealed

Karen Gravano (one of the cast members)

The daugther of legendary Gambino turncoat Salvatore (Sammy Bull) Gravano stars in a new mob reality show - and that's not sitting well with relatives of her dad's victims.
Karen Gravano has started shooting for "Mob Wives," set to possibly air next year on VH1.
In one scene, she receives a well-timed prison phone call from her father, who is serving 20-years for Ecstasy trafficking, a preview copy obtained by the Daily News shows.
Gravano, 38, is one of five women tracked on the show - the other four in the preview video are actual wives; she's the only daughter.
Relatives of her 65-year-old murderous father's 19 victims say she should keep her mouth shut - and her face off TV.
"She grew up a little spoiled brat on blood money," said Jackie Colucci, whose slain brother Joseph was Salvatore Gravano's first victim in 1970.
"She should be ashamed that her father is a murderer and a drug dealer. I would be ashamed and crawling in a hole and staying out of the limelight.
"We're the victims. My brother's kids grew up without a father."
Karen Gravano's connection to the show is all part of an effort to reinvent herself. The self-proclaimed "aesthetician and makeup artist" hopes to open a beauty business.
Gravano said her dad's notorious past is his past - not hers.
"As far as the situation with my father, for the last 20 years I've always had that attention so it's nothing new," she said. "I'm trying to get out of that shadow."
"I'm sure it's going to be a good show," she said of the VH1 project, which is largely set inBrooklyn and on Staten Island
In one scene, she gets a call from Sammy Bull and gushes over a drawing he made of her daughter.
"Mommy showed me the picture you drew of (Sammy's granddaughter), it's beautiful!" the mob princess chirps.
Gravano also describes what it was like when she learned her dad broke his mob oath and agreed to testify against mob boss John Gotti.
"When he told me he was going to cooperate, it was devastating. . . . Finding all this out didn't matter because he's my father," she said on the video excerpt.
It should matter, the family of her dad's victims say. Capitalizing on the Gravano name trivializes the destruction he wrought as a gangster, they say.
"Doesn't she realize the aftermath of her father's actions? She has put him on a pedestal and they want to keep making money off Sammy," the relative said. "She's feeding off him."
"Mob Wives" is being produced by Jennifer Graziano, the daughter of Bonanno capo Anthony (T.G.) Graziano.
Her sister, Renee Graziano, praises Karen Gravano in one scene.
"Karen has got a huge set of b----, yes, she does," Graziano says.
A spokesman for "Mob Wives" declined to comment, insisting the show's cast is not set and "real production doesn't start until after the holidays."

Rapper Paul Wall Approached by VH1 Celebrity Fit Club Representatives

"Honestly, when we were in Afghanistan and [representatives from VH1's] Celebrity Fit Club were contacting [me] about coming on the show," he said. "That was a hell of a wake-up call. [Being fat] isn’t a secret. You can look in the mirror and try to hide it and cover it up, and it may work here or there, but there ain’t no shirt or hat you can put on or haircut you can get to hide the fact that you’re morbidly obese. That’s what the doctor said: I was 'morbidly obese.' I decided not to do [the show] but it was still a wake-up call to have people calling you saying, 'Hey, you’re really, really fat.'"

Future VH1 Reality Stars & Bad Official Hot Mess Interview

When did you first realize you had an interest in music and what sparked that interest?

Kristy: Well we began creating music for enjoyment and as a hobby when we were little kids, and we wrote our first song when I was around five years old. It’s always been a passion for us. Blondie, Heart, Cindy Lauper – they’ve all been huge inspirations for us.

Lindsay: There really was no specific time we decided to make music. It’s always been in our hearts since we were infants.

What drives and inspires you to do what you love?

Kristy: That’s a tough question. I think we’re inspired by anything and everything that happens to us, from being in love to being rejected in the music industry. We write about everything. It’s very therapeutic for us.

Lindsay: We’re very thankful to have this chance and opportunity and I think that’s something that inspires us.

If you had the chance to work or record with anyone, who would you choose?

Kristy: I’d love to work with Jack White.

Lindsay: I’d have to say Will.I.Am. Working with both of them at the same time would be pretty cool.

How would you describe the sound of your music?

Lindsay: I think elements from all genres of music incorporate into our own style.

Kristy: Like our next single ‘Money Makes The Girl$ Go Round’ has it’s own sound. It has a little bit of humor with a rock feel and it makes it it’s own.

How do you feel that you’re different from other artists in your genre?

Kristy: I think it’s strange for us because people see us as a two blond ditzy bimbo singing rock act and they are surprised to see that we have a lot of musical experience.

Lindsay: we’re influenced by a lot of classic rock artists and I believe you can tell that through our songs.

What are some of your short-term and long-term goals you have lined out for yourself?

Kristy: We’re getting ready to premiere our new music video for ‘Money Makes The Girl$ Go Round’ at the end of January and it’s awesome.

Lindsay: We’re working on a reality series and we just finished up a feature film. Also, working with organizations such as The Wounded Warrior Project and PETA that are close to our hearts.

You recently began shooting a reality show – Can you tell us some about that?

Lindsay: We are currently working on a reality show for a major network and we’re really excited. It’s a different kind of reality show – it’s organic and natural. It will give people a behind the scenes look at O.H.M.

Kristy: We’re excited for fans to see what goes on with O.H.M.

What are some of your upcoming plans for promoting your music and/or reality show?

Lindsay: We’ll be playing with Sean Kingston in January and doing a lot of press for our new video, and also doing a lot of shows.

Kristy: That’s our favorite part of all this – going out and playing, being able to share our music with our fans.

Dr. Drew Predicts Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Heading For ‘Phenomenal Meltdown’

Just add up a couple things. There’s no such thing as ‘I was a heroin addict.’ That doesn’t exist in nature. Something is going on with [Jolie's] addiction. Or she’s in recovery. And I don’t see any evidence that’s the case. So we’ve got one person who’s a heroin addict. Which is a chronic lifelong condition, period. We have another person who has said things like, “Well, Jennifer [Aniston] was into long-term relationships, that’s just her way of looking at things.” I mean, that demeaning attitude towards other people’s emotions. Now put those two people together and you have got a really volatile situation. And they’re constantly creating things to weld themselves together. Which is only going to serve to make a more nuclear eruption. There will be some sort of meltdown that will be phenomenal when it does happen.
