Royce Talks Shaunie O' Neal & Meeka Claxton
S2Smagazine catches up with Royce on Basketball Wives Season 4.
On Shaunie O' Neal
“I don’t film with her. We don’t like each other. I don’t know what her issue is with me. … She was making up lies about me that wasn’t true, She doesn't pimp me, and I’m pretty sure y’all see she doesn’t pimp me. My thing is, she does not own the show, she said. She doesn't make me do anything, say anything … Yeah, it brings in a check, but I refuse to sell my soul for a check.”
On Meeka
“[Meeka] wanted to be cool with certain people that did not want to be cool with her and she pretty much got stabbed in the back like 10, 20, 30 times. I tried to tell her. Tami [Roman] tried to tell her, and it was like in one ear and like the other. You see where she is now … I don’t have an issue with Meeka at all. We’ve actually talked. She’s apologized,”
The New 'Basketball Wives' Kenya & Kesha Talk about the new Season
Kenya Bell is the newest Basketball Wives cast member, and she clears up the rumors about the stabbing of her husband.
On the rumors:
“First of all, it was all a hot, fiery mess. The truth of the matter is he was not mad. I did not stab my husband,” she explains. “It was horrible experience for me. At this point in my life, I think it changed me for the better because I was taught in that situation that when somebody has problems or issues, it’s not in my place to even try to change them. They need to change them themselves. That’s kind of where that whole drama took me. I think I’m in a better place [now].”
BBW4:
“I’ve developed some friendships,” says Bell. “Some of the chicks are really cool. I dig cool chicks that are working hard, trying to do their thing. For the most part, we’re all out here trying to make it. I really appreciate that aspect of some of the women.”
Kesha on her Ex:
“I don’t want to focus on my relationship with Richard. I feel like that story has been told so many times. I’m over that and it’s in the past,” she says before dishing on her current guy. “I am dating someone now. He’s an amazing person, but he chooses not to be in the spotlight, chooses not to have anything to do with reality TV, and it’s just so amazing that I want to keep that part to myself.”
BBW4:
“They already have a Tami, they already have an Evelyn, they already have a Jen and a Royce, so they wanted to bring in someone who would be the anti-basketball wife. That’s kind of what I am,” says Nichols. “I’m very different from them and my reactions are different than the other girls and I’ve never been in my life around a group of people like this. These ladies have short fuse and it’s a learning process for me every single day for me.”
Yandy Pitched Love and Hip Hop to Mona Scott Young
VH1 Catches up with Yandy, and it seems that she has not talked to Jim. Yandy also revealed that she was the one who pitched the show with the original name " Keeping up with the Jones" Yandy also reveals a lot for stuff that was not in the reunion special.
I know that you were around for the filming on season one. I don’t know what your role was though. Were you on the set a lot?
No, I pitched the show but it was called, “Keeping Up With the Joneses.” I pitched it. We couldn’t really get Jim to commit the way we needed him to, so I called my good friend Mona and she came in and she was pitching a show to another network about the women behind the scenes in hip-hop. So we put our brains together, and we figured out that we did the same kind of concept that she had but with Jim and Chrissy. Season one, I was actually overseas with Missy Elliott. I was overseas for three months, and that was the whole taping. I came back the day of Chrissy’s proposal to Jim and I was there for that. You’ll see me on clips briefly in that proposal scene
