Farrah's "Boyfriend" Says 'Couples Therapy' Relationship Is Fake

He Was Hired To Be Her Boyfriend

Reality:  Farrah Abraham of Teen  Mom is not one of my favorite people and when I heard she was cated for Couple Therapy" I knew she was also there for TV and it looks like I was right.

He so called "boyfriend" who is actually DJ name Brian Dawe posted his interview he did with Sarcsam on his Facebook Page spilling the beans that he was HIRED to her boyfriend sos he can be on the show and he also explains why he backed down too appear on the show.

Was your relationship with Farrah genuine?

No. I was approached by Farrah Abraham to be in a "pretend relationship" with her so that she could be on a television show. Farrah got my number from my agent, who was also booking events and appearances for her. I went along with it originally because the network offered to pay me a substantial amount of money. Farrah told me to lie to the network and tell them the relationship was real. I hesitated, but reluctantly went along with it initially.

How did you meet Farrah?

I met Farrah for the first time in Orlando when she was doing an appearance at a nightclub I was performing at. I picked Farrah up from the airport and on the car ride to her hotel she informed me that she had a paparazzi friend who was going to be taking photos of us at a park in Orlando. I had no idea what these photos would be used for, but assumed it would be for her to promote or market our "relationship". She told me after the "shoot" that she sells the photos to various tabloids. When the media began to report on the "relationship" I was astonished at the amount of media coverage it received. Having never watched any of her past shows I didn't realize the amount of public interest in her.

Did you intend to go to Couples Therapy? At what point did you back out of the show?

I performed in Boston on October 26th and after my performance went to Logan Airport to fly to Los Angeles and begin filming for the show. I checked my bags and got into the airport security line. When I was in that line it really hit me what I was doing. I realized that lying was wrong no matter what the circumstance were, and decided my morals and integrity were worth more than any amount of money. I stepped out of the security line and made a life changing decision to stand up for what I believe in and turn down the check I would be receiving for my appearance on this show.

At that time I sent a brief email to show producers informing them the relationship was not real and that I would not be appearing on the show.

How did the producers respond when you informed them you would not be showing up for the filming of the show?

I was offered double my original appearance fee from the network. This to me was a substantial amount of money, but I decided to stick by my decision. The network threatened to take "legal action" against me if I did not immediately report to set, even though I had never signed a contract to appear on the show. The network and I were scheduled to sign contracts upon my arrival to film in Los Angeles on October 27th.

I was shocked that the network STILL wanted to produce a "reality" show based on this "relationship", even though I had told them it was a complete lie.

At that point I ceased communication with the production company, the network, and Farrah. I have not spoken with Farrah since she sent me a text after I did not show up on set saying "she wishes me all the best and to take care".

Why did you decide not to participate?

I got myself in this situation because I was only thinking about the profit I would be making from doing this show. That was wrong. In the back of my head I realized I could not participate in a TV show that would further exploit Farrah, and where I would have to lie to be involved. When I was in the security line at the airport, practically on my way to LA to begin filming, the reality of the situation began to set in and my true morals and convictions came to the surface.

Even though I’ve been on reality TV before, I think the culture of reality television, especially when young people are involved, is very damaging. The fact that MTV and Viacom exploit very young girls on "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom" is clear they don’t care about the long term or the mental health of these people. It's a travesty that they are willing to sacrifice integrity for entertainment.

It is also a shame that networks are airing shows as "reality" when it is clearly not. I was stunned when the producers still wanted to produce the show knowing it was not true. With people like Kristin Cavallari coming forward about "The Hills" being scripted, and Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty saying that TV editors “with no moral compass” distort his family’s reality, I think it is time that the public really begin to ask questions and hold people accountable for their actions. Reality TV is a culture of exploiting people and it needs to change.
