Former Love and Hip Hop: NY star Tahiry Jose is finally speaking out on Instagram about her getting attacked by a male production managers this past Monday at a fashion show. In the message she says she was attacked because she is 'a woman with a voice and refused to be disrespected'

"Thank you ALL for your well wishes. I am both appreciative and grateful to have you on my team and call you #teamtahiry! I am sincerely touched by your outpouring of love. As you may or may not know, on Monday, Sept. 8, I was attacked,  assaulted and violated, while in the workplace, by a man. I was beaten because I am woman with a voice and refuse to be disrespected. It is more proof that the violence against women is real and needs to be addressed publicly. The shaming and disrespecting of women/victims of violent abuses must stop. Violence against women must stop; a women's voice and refusal to be disrespected is not grounds for physical abuse. #iamwoman #myvoicematters More to the point, I am home, healing and surrounded by love. Rest assured, I will continue all my efforts and endeavors with the same faith, determination, passion and spirit I have always possesed. Again, thank you! You are ALL heroes of mine! Love, Tahiry"

'Catfish' Star Nev Schulman Reveals In New Book He Punched A Woman Back In College; She Responds

Nev Reveals He Assaulted A Woman

With all this talk about men punching on women, lets add Catfish star Nev Schulman to the list.  He reveals in his new book "In Real Life: Love, Lies and Identity In A Digital Age" that he punched a  person who he did not realize was a female back in college because she did not like the fact he was taking pictures.

"I decided to photograph the school’s annual Sleaze Ball, a night of debauchery, drugs, and girls dressed primarily in lingerie. While I was photographing, an individual who didn’t like that I was takingpictures attempted to tackle me and smash my camera on the ground. Since the camera was attached to a strap around my neck, I found myself in a very unpleasant situation, much like a dog with a choke collar. In an effort to free myself, I punched the person and ran off; when I returned minutes later, I discovered that the short, stocky, crew-cut-styled individual that I’d fought with was a woman—a fact I hadn’t been aware of in the heat of the moment. The next thing I knew, I’d been arrested."

the incident led him to be arrested and kick out of college. The woman responded to Vulture.com about the incident and she say she remembers it differently.

“I didn’t tackle him and I certainly didn’t choke him with his camera strap. I tapped his shoulder and he turned and hit me out of nowhere,” she said. “I went down and he held me in a head lock and repeatedly punched me while I tried to get free. The impact broke my glasses and the rest of the night was a blur.”
