Tracey Edmonds Confirms 'Basketball Wives' Movie Project With Shaunie

A year ago, there was was reports that Shaunie was going to work on a movie version of her hit show Basketball Wives with Tracey Edmonds who produced the hit movie " "Jumping The Broom". Back then it was more of rumor, but now was have confirmation that a movie project is in the works. 

Tracey Edmonds did an interview with 

Essence recently and she confirms that a Basketball Wives movie is in the works. However, it won't be based on the TV show. It will be more of an uplifting type of movie.


"In all honesty, when I first started there were more opportunities for projects of color. There were at least seven distributors doing African-American films. Nowadays, it’s maybe two or three. That leaves fewer slots to get a film through and fewer opportunities to direct or produce. We are seeing the same with television. The good news is things are beginning to segue way online, which is global. A channel like Alright is reaching the entire world on YouTube and a wonderful opportunity to get positive images out to the world. There is a Jumping the Broom sequel in the works and I am also producing a Basketball Wives movie with Shaunie O’Neal. It’s not based on the show and is an uplifting story with a lot of twists".

Alleged Cast Members Address 'Love and Hip Hop: Chicago" Rumors

I have some more news on Love and Hip Hop: Chicago. Apparently, there has been some drama going around during the pilot stage of the show.  The alleged cast members from the show which are: Eryka Kane, Sidney Starr, Seandale, Velo of Do or Die , Shawna are addressing some rumors and  drama behind the scenes of the show and the cameras aren't even rolling yet.

According to Tha Drill 

"Meetings were held with a group of investors who thought a reality show would be a great project to launch in Chicago due to the size of the market, the talent and the tax advantages offered to producers who film in the market. The investors reached out to  Lani Pop, Sidney Starr, Eryka Kane, Seandale, Belo of Do or Die and Shawana, to be possible anchors to launch the reality show. At the meeting with investors, everyone was informed of the goal, which was to shoot a pilot for presentation to  Monami Entertainment.  On April 13th 2013, a casting call and party was hosted by Eryka Kane at her mansion home, in Burbank Illinois. At this casting call people auditioned from 5pm until 8pm and then turnt up throughout the night until the last die hard party girl, woke up on the coach and finally exited the party house at 9:00am, insiders revealed. It seems the flier released to promote the casting call allegedly caused Hip Hop Artist Shawnna to become irate due to her rival, Hip Hop Artist Eryka Kane’s picture being portrayed larger than life on the flier. This reportedly led Shawana’s management to call Monami Entertainment in an attempt to sabotage the whole project. Shawnna’s management reportedly called Monami’s offices asking Mona’s assistants “Did Mona call Shawana in for an audition?” Clearly, Shawana’s management knew that the idea was to shoot a pilot for presentation to Monami. No one ever said Mona was holding the auditions. These investors were attempting to bring Chicago’s talent to Mrs. Young. It just goes to show how narrow minded some artists can be to sabotage something they themselves were a part of, just because the person hosting the party had a bigger picture on a flier? How caddy…. Shawnna, being the “trust fund” baby she claims to be should have no problem hosting her own event in her Daddy’s mansion right? So why all the hate, just throw your own party and make your picture big on the flier for God sake

Yesterday, I made a post about Ramona speaking blogtalkradio's #Haveseat about the whole ordeal with Carla and Love. She said that Carla did tried file a lawsuit against them because of her figth with Love. Now Karen is speaking out about it and she says the reason why Love left the show was because Carla threatened to sue VH1 if they did not fire her.

“I think Love wasn’t invited because Carla pretty much spoke to VH1 about not showing up if Love was invited"

“Carla’s threatening to sue and VH1 wanted to avoid any lawsuits.”

The ratings are in! and the 2nd season of Love and Hip hop: Atlanta draw in over 4 million viewers total, topping WWE' Raw.  The premiere drew in 2.94 million viewers and the encore show drew in 1.33 million viewers.

Gossip Game's Sharon Carpenter recently appeared on the Breakfast Club to explain her actions from the last episode of the show. If you have not seen it, people went in on her last episode for how she acted towards Jas Fly, career wise. Sharon kinda came off like she better than her because of her credentials ans Jas Fly quoted "Stop telling me what did, and tell me what doing." Well, Sharon revealed to the Breakfast Club that Jas Fly applied for a job at Global Grind and she did not get the job. Sharon  also says she is not defined by one position and she has worked for a few different companies in the past.

Lil Scrappy Released From Jail

Lil Scrappy has been released from jail after one day for his alleged probation violation for his pot bust in 2008. Back in March he was ordered to sumbit urine test but authorities suspected his urine sample hmight have been tampered with because his urine was cold. He was ordered to give them anothers ample, but he refused which led him to his arrest.

According to Carlton Jordan he says that he warrant was 'bogus' and says he never submitted bad pee. His court hearing will held on May 16th.

Ramona Rizzo appeared on Blogtalkradio's #Haveaseat and she spilled some tea on the drama between Carla and Love and also explained HER beef with her. She says that Carla has been talking crap about her family and that is why she and Karen immediately went in on her at the reunion. She also says the reunion show took five hours and everything was building up between them. She also confirmed Carla did called the cops and tried file a case when the fight happened with Love. Lastly, she says Carla has done hateful things on set.  So basically, she is team Love.  She also did not like how Carla went after Renee when held that butter knife and called her a junkie.

She says that she is most likely will return for season 4 which already has been confirmed and explain that the reason why she and Big Ang are not the credits is because VH1 does not want to spend their money.
