Karlie Redd Talks About How She Got On 'Love And Hip Hop Atlanta'

You all might remember Karlie Redd as a contestant on Scream Queens 2 back in 2010

She also made appearance on another VH1 show which Beverly Hills Fabulous last year. She talks to BET about returning to VH1 again, this time on Love and Hip Hop Atalanta and says this show is perfect platform to building up her brand. She also talks about her reputation on the show.

Being a cast member of L&HHA definitely helps bring attention to that cause. How did you become a part of the series?
There was a little buzz going on around me. I’d already done Scream Queen and had [an appearance on]Beverly Hills Fabulous. I was in Atlanta recording, and I came in to talk to Mona Scott [L&HH’s executive producer] about being on the show. Because I kept it so real with her — and I love Mona to death — she brought me on.

On L&HHA, you’ve emerged as the cast member whose words make the conflicts happen. Is that intentional or is that just your personality?
What happened was that Mimi Faust [girlfriend of music producer Stevie J.], well, I didn’t know she was going to be at this party. So, I was keeping it real about what I saw, because I’d want my friend to tell me she saw my man kissing someone else or hugging or talking to someone in a manner that Joseline [Hernandez] did with Stevie J. I was just keeping it real with what I saw.

But you also — in last week’s episode — went out of your way to tell Mimi about another woman who claimed to have slept with Stevie J. You seem to want to cause the drama even though the show doesn’t focus on you.
What happened was the girl came up to me. I’m walking into the party and the girl came up to me and told me she f***** Stevie J. And I’m like, “Huh?” Why wouldn’t I tell my girlfriend that?

Sarah Alami Shares Her Thoughts on Scream Queens

Scream Queens contestant Sarah Alami did a new interview with obscurehorror.com . She reveals her thoughts on Scream Queens 2. She originally turned down the offer to be on Scream Queens because she was afraid of doing reality TV. she was afraid that doing a reality show would ruin her image since there is a lot of editing going on.

She also says that the show "threw a curveball"  at her while she did her scenes. When she had that scene where she was dunked in the water the producers asked to say "I had a panic attack"  She basically goes to say the show was a joke.

Scream Queens 2 - Finale Recap

Scream Queens 2 - Finale Recap

Here is a recap of what went down on the finale of Scream Queens 2. Great finale but shocking winner. Final 3 girls were left standing , Christine, Gabby and Jessica. Jessica felt intimidated by Gabby because she won leading lady.

Their next challenge would determine the final 2 girls. Their next challenge was called "The Gaunlet" This challenge will ALL the skills the girls have learned from past lessons. They had to perform a scene where they were being a attack by a killer. Jessica said to the other girls the challenge is harder than expected. Christine did the worst which caused her to be eliminated.

So the final two girls were Gabby and Jessica. They were both happy that they made it this far. The next day they met with Saw producer Mark Burg to get their final script for their scene which is from Saw 1.  then they had their last class with John Homa to test themselves for their final scene.

After that, the two girls perform their final scenes with the saw producer. They both did a good on it. They were both nervous about the elimination though. at the end Gabby ended up with winning which I shocked because I thought Jessica was going to win. But I do like Gabby though.

Scream Queens 2 - Episode 7 Recap

Scream Queens 2 - Episode 7 Recap

We are now down to the final four girls! Here is what happened on this episode.  Gabby and Jessica wait for the other girls to come back from elimination. Gabby is not happy that Tai was not eliminated. Tai thinks she lost her focus because of Gabby

This weeks skills challenge was acting in altered states. The girls had to perform a seance and each girl gets possessed by a ghost. Jessica (of course) did the sexy thing again and it looked like she was making love to herself. Christine tried the sexy thing as well but it did not work for her. Tai, did the best she tool a different approach by saying "maybe this ghost isn't the town slut" her scene was very real.  Jamie King revealed that Tai did the best.

This weeks session John Homa. The girls had to act drunk. At first Gabby did bad but when Jessica got up her performance , Gabby began to cry because she knew she did good and she screwed so John Homa gave Gabby a second chance but Jessica pissed about that, showing her insecurities. She says" It's not fair that people get second chances" John Homa tells Jessica "This is the sh** I don't want to hire. Jessica felt like she blew it. Tai then comforts Jessica after what happened. Jessica decides to put that pass her.

The girls got their scripts for directors challenge. The way they got their scripts kinda dumb. They had to say the name of a killer three times for their scripts to appear. This weeks challenge, they had to play a crazy girl who killed 10 people and they were being interviewed by a doctor. Jessica chose a New York accent for her character, she did a good job, so did Gabby. Tai was not focused with hers and Christine took a different approach by not being sexy and just a regular girl who was nuts.

All four girls were called down at th grand ball room. The top two girls for the week were Gabby and Jessica. Gabby got leading lady. Tai was the girl eliminated

Next week it is the finale.

VH1access Interview: Sarah Alami (Scream Queens 2)

I recently did an interview Sarah Alami who was eliminated on Scream Queens two weeks ago. We discuss her time on the show. She says that her favorite moment is when she had to work with that python.. She also says that almost turned the offer to be on Scream Queens but decided to join anyway for the exposure. She also told me that the filming process was horrible but the doing this show payed off for her she signed a contract with Oil Of Clay wrapped up a pilot called The "O" and did a play called "Kill Hard"
Follow her on Twitter

VH1access: Hello Sarah how are you?
Sarah: Im Good! A little exhausted after driving from Chicago To Los Angeles .  I stopped in Denver to Zip line and Raft. It has been amazing!

VH1access: How was your time on the show?
Sarah: Wow- What an experience ! It was cool to get to work with a live snake,  motion capture and squibs- But Couldn't stand being in that house- It is tough living with 9 women -Always some kind of cat fight going on. I refused to be fake and take part in that nonsense !!

VH1access: What made you decide to audition for Scream Queens?
Sarah: At first It was just another audition. I was very opposed to doing a Reality show- I almost turned it down. Then after a little negotiations I decided to do it. I figured it might be a good opportunity after all. Being an actor in Chicago can be difficult, obviously we are not getting the projects LA has So I thought I could use the exposure from it and possibly get more work.

VH1access: How was the filming process?
Sarah: Agh The filming process was horrible! Cameras would come at 9 am and film til about 3am then we had to do interviews and confessionals from 3am-5am . I was beginning to become Delirious ! Lol

VH1access: What was your favorite challenge on the show?
Sarah: When We got to dance with Snakes!! It was so sexy and Crazy . Bruce (The snake) weighed over 100 lbs, So to be able to do that was awesome. I wish they would have showed it. They cut me out , and I got great feedback from Tim that week  :/!

VH1access: Which girls on the show did you get along with the most?
Sarah: I knew Tai For years from Chicago , we had worked on commercials and other projects together- So she was my homie :) Me jess, Sierra ,ro and tai use to call ourselves the fab 5 . ( I didn't come up with that )

VH1access: Do you think that your anxiety attacks were the reason why you were eliminated?
Sarah: Well I hate to say this because I've received wonderful letters from people suffering from anxiety, But that was a little elaborated for the show. The water scene was not so much a panic attack, I was dunked over 20 times so ofcourse I was having a hard time breathing. I felt they wrote it in bc of something earlier in the week that I refused to take part in, But I was really ready to go at that point

VH1access: What are your thoughts on John Homa, Jamie King and Tim Sullivan?
Sarah: John Homa Is an amazing coach I will be seeing him for private lessons while in LA, Tim has had a connection with all the girls since the show and Is a great Director. Jaime ? Not really much to say there.

VH1access: On the show you revealed that you had a daughter, did she watched the show?
Sarah: Haha MY Baby!!! She is my BIGGEST fan! She loves watching the show , but doesn't yet understand How I got in the Tv ? lol.

VH1access: Doing Scream Queens did it help getting more exposure for you?
Sarah: Definetly , Its weird being stopped on the street and people asking me for autographs. Im just a regular girl following a dream.

VH1access: Do you have any upcoming that we should know about?
Sarah: Yes! I filmed a pilot with Michael Fry ( writer :Bill cosby and fresh prince) called The "O" mission - just wrapped a play in Chicago "Kill Hard" Which got 4 stars in the Chicago reader. I also got an extended cosmetic contract with Oil of Olay  :) And if you will be in Europe anytime soon I have a tv show on the air "Entrapment".

VH1access: Thank you Sarah for doing this interview, do you want to give a shout out to anyone?
Sarah: Thank you Sooo Much for the interview. I Can not believe all the love and support I've gotten from fans. I just want to Thank all of them for the support. In this buisness you are risking alot to follow a dream and facing rejection all the time. Its all of you , My family , and my daughter that keeps me pushing forward and keep going .

Scream Queens 2- Episode 6 Recap

Scream Queens 2 - Episode 6 Recap

Scream queens 2 returns after a week hiatus due to the 100 Greatest Artists of all time airing. This episode was pretty good so here is what happened.

The other found out that Sarah went home. Tai being cocky that she is says she doesn't not see 4 winners but 4 losers and if she wants to see a winner she will look at the mirror. This weeks challenge with Jamie King was acting in font of a green screen. The girls have to imagine a monster is out the window and act their scene out. Christine once again played it safe. She did not acted too scared. Jessica did okay. Tai over did it, her performance was a bit too fake. Gabby did the best out of everyone, take that Tai! lol

Tai determine if she did win, she would at least beat Gabby. She says "Yeah Gabby did the best today, so what? I won't let it happen again" um I do feel like Tai instigates Gabby a lot and picking on her it just makes Tai look immature by doing that. Gabby told her that sounds like a threat. But Tai is making her look lie the crazy one by "I was not talking about you"

On to John Homa. The girls had to perform a scene with a fake crop but make it look real. John Homa throws a fake brick at them. The girls freaked out because the bricks look so real and it did! I would have freaked out if he threw that brick at me. sierra and Tai probably did the worse. John Homa was probably disappointed the most at Tai.

this directors challenge the girls had to perform a scene where they are being attacked by a ghost. Christine did awesome on that on. The way she moved her leg like that and looked like a ghost was actually pulling her. Sierra  looked like she was drunk or something lol and Tai over did it once again. Gabby did pretty good. But of course Tai thought she did the worse and they had an argument about that after. But Gabby decided enough was enough and told her off.

However, karma but Tai in the ass because she was called down at the ballroom for elimination including Christine and Sierra. Sierra was freaking out about it. the judges told Christine that she was safe but they want her to be less worry about her performance. It was down to Tai and Sierra. john Homa told her her performance this week was "low end" and have a fine between being confident and over confident.

John Homa told Sierra that she showed a great deal of personal growth but may have it a plateau. Sierra was the one that got axe.

I bet Gabby is going to pissed that Tai is safe lol

Scream Queen's Allison Kyler shooting a movie called "Zombie Killers"

Eliminated contestant Allison Kyler from Scream Queens (season 2) might become a zombie. She tweeted in her twitter page that she is on set shooting what might be a movie called "Zombie Killers"

Scream Queens 2 - Episode 5 Recap

Scream Queens 2 - Episode 5 Recap

Here is the 5th episode recap of Scream Queens. The ladies returned after elimination and the other girls found out that Allison was gone. Gabby was not happy though because she has been in the chopping block so many times with her technical issue.

This weeks lesson was all about comedy/being funny. This weeks skills test the girls had to pretend to to be zombies and bring something unique to horror. They also had to bust out of a grave and get shot. Jamie King brings out J.D Street who was a special effects artist. He tells them there will be wearing a mini bomb on them ( which to me is scary).Jessica and Tai did the best, Sarah tried something funnt but it did no work and Gabby was too concerned with the mini bomb on her that she looked down at her target so many times. She did the worse. Turns out Tai won but there was no call backs. Back at the house Sarah missed her daughter. She says that her daughter is the only person that accepts her for all of her flaws.

The girls then had another session with John Homa. John Homa also bought in a guest comedy teacher, This week they had to bring comedy into horror. Tai and Christine went up first Tai had to play a zombie, and Christine had to give her a ticket. Then Sierra and Jessica went. Sierra had to play a mummy that had to get fit for her wedding dress and last but not least Sarah and Gabby went up. Gabby played a werewolf  ad Sarah played a worker at a taco stand. Out of all the girls. I think Tai and Christine did the best.
After that Tai tells Christine to stop taking care of Gabby and Gabby of course was pissed off at Tai.

Their next directors challenge they had to play vampires. It was a western style vampire flick alled "Vampire Outlaws" they had to do a movie trailer for it which you can see at VH1.com. They all had to act on it. Sarah and Christine played the outlaws, Sierra played the vampire nerd and tai was like vampire leader, Gabby once again had technical problems and Gabby had to dunk Sarah in the water. Sarah was freaking out about that. Jessica and Tai did really well.

The list came and Sarah, gabby, Sierra and Christine was called for the first time. Tai was leading lady although Gabby did not like that. They got their critique by he judges. Christine admits to "playing it safe"  Sarah is not progressing quickly enough for the judges, gabby still had technical problems. Sarah gets eliminated by the judges.  She admits the could not make it one more day without her daughter and she was 100% honest.

VH1 Interview - Allison Kyler (Scream Queens 2)

Allison from Scream Queens 2 did an interview with VH1.com  which is odd because VH1 did not interview any girl from Scream Queens last season. Allison has been doing a lot of projects. She shot a commercial with Shakira for a car company, she also filmed an episode of ABC Family show Greek. She also talks about her time on the show. She regrets making fun of Sierra.

So what have you been up to since the show?
I’ve been working. Same old, same old. I went to Madrid and I shot a commercial with Shakira for the European car company Fiat. A horror movie I was in called Maneater, starring Dean Cain, just got distribution through Lionsgate. And then I got a co-star on the ABC Family showGreek.

Congratulations on all the new work. You talked about your dance experience on the show, and, you’ve done so much in dance, you’re a singer, you’re a choreographer…I’m surprised you wanted to be in horror films.
I’ve always wanted to be an actress and that was always my main priority. But I just worked so much as a dancer that it kind of took over my life, you know? And it pays well, so it was paying all the bills. My main goal in life is not to be a backup dancer. What I really want to do in life is I want to be a singer and I want to be an actress. That’s been my main goal. So it’s just been hard making the transition out of dance into acting, especially when you have such a huge resume in dance. People automatically just think of you as of a dancer.

But you showed that side of you a lot on Scream Queens.
That’s why I kind of excelled in that point when Tim would give me a direction, I just changed it and I never was overwhelmed with all the technical aspects of being on set, because I’d done that a lot.

Speaking of being experienced, you seemed angry that some of the other actresses lacked experience, yet they were winning challenges.
There were moments on the show, when I was watching it, that I felt bad because a lot of it came off to some people as being bitchy. But it really wasn’t. I feel like a lot of the times I’m just saying what most people are thinking, you know? And I just happen to say it. I hope that everybody has a great career. So it’s not like I’m like, “I hate her.” I want everybody to work. I think I just say what everybody is thinking.

I did notice that when Gabby and Tai had their fight, you stayed neutral.
I hated high school. I hate girl-on-girl drama. I hate that crap. It’s so dumb to me. So when they’re fighting, I was just like, “Oh my God, who f***ing cares?” I don’t pick fights. So that’s what everybody said: “Oh, Allison’s a bitch,” or, “She starts stuff.” But everybody knows that I never got in an argument with any of the girls. I never had any issues with any of the girls.

You had some issues with some of the girls when you did the interviews! You seemed especially annoyed with Gabby and Sierra.
I feel so bad about everything I said about Sierra. She’s so nice. Sierra, Roseanna, Jessica and I went and did Comic-Con, which was amazing because we got to go and do the press and we got to go to The Expendables party and do the red carpet for VH1. We got to do a lot of great stuff and Sierra’s so sweet. And right after the show ended and everything, I hung out with Gabby a lot. So Gabby and I, we got to be friends.

You said what was on your mind, but you didn’t like it when Jaime criticized you.
[Laughs] That was like an “if looks could kill” look. That was really bad. When I saw that I was like, “Oh, damn, Allison, calm down.” No, I love criticism. I really do. I mean, that’s the only way you’re going to get better in anything. But I think it’s just that moment. The stress level of the show, and it had been the third week and I felt like I wasn’t getting noticed because I hadn’t been called down for Leading Lady yet and I was getting frustrated. I thought that I had that one in the bag, that I definitely was going to win…and then I didn’t. In that moment I was f***ing pissed, you know? Obviously I shouldn’t have made that face. I was horrible. I take that one back a hundred and ten percent. I know I was wrong for that one.

How about working with Tim and John Homa? Homa was so perceptive about what would make you cry.
Well, and I think that’s another thing that kind of bothered me, when people are like, “Oh, Allison’s had a tough-ass and this or that or whatever.” My thing is, I just don’t dwell on the past. I didn’t have it easy growing up, I did not have it easy by any means. I probably had it a lot harder than most of the girls in the house, and all of them are crying over it. You just get over it and move on. He went somewhere else with me, because I’m not going to cry over what cards you’ve been dealt in life. I’m not going to cry over it. I think that John saw that in me. John was really good.

How did he know that picturing your first child would make you cry out of terror?
[Laughs] So like, the baby? It was actually from the week before. You know, that challenge during the acting the class when we had to sit in front of each other saying what we were going to do to the other person? I was sitting in front of Sarah. He said to tell her something that was going to hurt her, so I said I was going to kill her kid. Because Sarah has a kid. I think that’s where it came from. Everyone was like, “Damn Allison.”

So you are no baby hater.
Yeah, I’m fine with babies, I don’t hate babies, I just don’t want a baby. I think there is a big difference. I like my dog. That’s my baby.

Let’s talk about why you were eliminated. What happened in that last director’s cut?
I’m legally blind, so I had to take out my contacts, which makes me practically blind. So I’m doing the scene with cheap-ass snake contacts in my eyes, I can’t see s***. I think I was trying to overcompensate because literally, if I don’t have my contacts in or my glasses in, I can’t see my hand in front of me. I’m not using it as an excuse at all, I’m not. I just don’t think they made that known. Someone actually had to guide me out to the set and bring me up on the stage because I couldn’t see anything.

You were doomed.
It was a f***ing disaster. I don’t know if they show me trying to put in the snake contacts because I was crying my eyes out. I don’t know if they showed that. I couldn’t even watch it because I was so upset. I couldn’t watch myself be a train wreck. I can watch other train wrecks, but myself I was like, “Oh s***, this is horrible.” Balling my eyes out trying to put those stupid snake contacts in, it was a mess.

I loved that your last words were, “A lot of the girls suck worse than I do.”
Well, yeah, because that’s literally what I was thinking. Maybe I wasn’t the best, but I wasn’t the worst. And I still believe it, I still don’t think I should have gone home fourth. And I’ve been here reading the blogs, and people that hated my guts are like, “I hate Allison, but she shouldn’t have gone home. Even though she’s a bitch, she’s a better actress that some of the people in the house.” So, even people who hated me can’t deny that I don’t think I should have gone home fourth!

Your feelings have changed since you got to know the other actresses.
Yeah, I’m rooting for all of them. When I left the house, I had a different story to say, but right now, I hope they all do good, and I hope everybody works afterwards. And I think this is such a good like platform for everybody. So many people watch it, and you actually get into the show, and you actually have real talent.
