“Yeah,” Big Ang exclusively told Wetpaint at the OK! Magazine So Sexy NYC event on May 13 when asked if she’s still returning next season. “We’re going to start next month filming.”
“I feel like I’m in ‘The Twilight Zone,’” Big Ang, whose real name is Angela Raiola, tells The Daily News in an exclusive interview at her house, about a mile from the St. George terminal of the Staten Island Ferry. “I can’t even believe that one day I’m fine and the next day I have Stage 2 throat cancer.”
“I am not one for surgery,” says Ang. “Plastic surgery? OK, 20 years ago. But as I got older, I got scared. I hate anesthesia.”

"Hi my babies! I am finally able to take a moment to speak to you all. First off, my apologies that you had to find out about my condition from every other outlet but me. This was never my intent, but unfortunately it got out there. Secondly, I want to clarify the rumors that I am hospitalized. I went in for a test due to the nodule in my throat. I had a nerve wracking couple of days, as would anyone when you hear testing etc... However, I am home peaceful and relaxing. This coming week I will be taking proper precautions and having it removed. I do want to say that you have all been on my mind every step of the way and I am so thankful to each and every one of you for the love, support, prayers and most of all positive wishes. I don’t blame Karen for what her father did. Karen can only be held accountable for her own words and actions [like] how nonchalantly she spoke of my father-in-law’s murder, as if it was not a tragedy for my family. To think that just because I never met my son’s grandfather that I would not be personally affected by that event is ridiculous
For me and the path that my life has taken since the show I can’t really see a time where me coming back would make sense. I have new goals and aspirations and in order for me to accomplish those goals, I will have to continue to look forward and not backward.
